Default top life

My top is still in excellent conditioned. It is mostly garaged. I know some tops have been replaced because of vandalism and window issues however how many have had to be replaced because of age and, or wear and tear? I was just wondering what normal life expectancy might be?

My top was replaced Feb 2012 due to window separation. Car is outside all the time. Doesn't look bad but doesn't look great but then, I can say that for the whole car. Just reached 85,000 today.

My top looks almost new except for the normal side creases. Of course it sits in the garage with the top down and usually under a car cover from late April to November, and then hibernates for the winter with the top up and under two car covers. It rarely goes out in the rain. I doubt I cycle the top more than 10 times per summer, so mechanical wear and tear is also minimal.
