Default Small Issues - trunk lid

Noticed a couple of things today when I opened the trunk lid.

First of all, the "E" letter of the "CROSSFIRE" lettering is a bit loose. You can see it here:

The "F" is also a bit loose. Any thoughts on how to remedy?

Also, I took the access panel off the underside of the truck lid to see if there was any access to the inside area where the lettering was fastened - there is not. But I noticed some dried up residue which appears to come from the gear transmission area of the spoiler raising mechanism, as shown here:

and here:

and here:

Any thoughts on the cause (heat damage to lubricant)? Needs a remedy? Spoiler still seems to work fine.

You can fix the letters with some 3m double sided molding trim tape.

The lettering can be reattached with 3M tape. You cut a piece the size of the letter and use an EXACTO knife to cut out the excess tape. I do these a lot, works very well.

As for the spoiler area, looks like a water leak to me. check around and see what you can as far as where it is leaking. I would use some white lithium grease and lube up as best as I could with out over doing it. Should be fine, just find the source.

They are not just loose they are practically free already and may decide they want a life on the open road.
Take them off before they are lost.
Fix the leak soon.
