hi, I've not posted anything for a while, but still regularly scroll this site but can't find anything on this subject, I've now got a roadster instead of a coupe and the battery's died on my key fob , so I tried to open the door with the metal key but it won't turn ,luckily I've a spare key and opened with that , was wondering if I've missed something or is it a bust lock mechanism, key does lock and unlock glovebox, ( not a major problem , was just wondering ) thanks.

 

I would start with lubing the tumbler?
