Default The pest has another question.

Okay, I removed fuse number five for the convertible top and no longer have the constant beep. Everything, except the top seems to work and it is drive able however now the spoiler light in the switch stays on and it will not manually extend or retract when pushing the button. I have not yet taken it on the freeway to see if it will automatically deploy. Is it somehow wired into the top circuit and if so might I damage it having fuse no. 5 removed? I don't want to cause more damage. Sorry electronics is not my area of expertise.

According to the schematic, the spoiler gets it's power from fuse # 20

So you don't think there is any relationship to the top?

NO, I don't, but I have seen many strange things with these German electronics

Thanks for the response. I put the fuse #5 back in and the spoiler light went out. removed it again and it is in. Must be some kind of a safety sensor related to the trunk or top. Fortunately it goes off when the ignition is off so it is drive able. I guess as long as I don't go over 80 it should be stable.

I do not know too much about roadsters but as you say there is a safety feature for the top and spoiler so that the top does not operate with the spoiler up or something like that.

Makes sense, does anyone have a schematic for the spoiler?
