Default Radio **** Replacement or Cover

I own a 2005 Limited Roadster with the original stereo. The volume and tuner ***** are worn away pretty bad. I am looking to either replace them or put a new **** over them. Does anyone have any input they can share? Thanks in advance.

Remove them by pulling straight back. Clean them good with alcohol or something similar. First primer then spray them silver with two coats. Then two coats of clear. Carefully reinstall them. I did this many years ago and they still look the same as new.

Using white primer may get the silver a better match than using grey primer. James
