Question Gear Shift **** Replacement

I'd like to replace the Shift **** on my Autostick. I know many of you out there have already done this. What do you suggest? What does MB have that was produced for the SLK? Any other good suggestions? Would love something with Cedar leather to match the seats but that's probably asking for too much. I've seen some with Carbon Fiber, that looked pretty nice. What do you all think? How easy to replace, is the **** just a screw on design? I haven't even looked at how it goes on/off. Open for all your suggestions.

i original purchase a momo ****...but i didn't care for the added 1" in height. and i didn't want to hack my car...especially if i wanted to put the stock **** back on at resale.

so...i then decided to purchase an 04' m/b slk automatic black leather shift ****. this **** is classy and looks as if it belong there imo. it also, fit as the crossfire stock **** does...height and all.

m/b part # A 170 267 10 10 9C05 (called a: handle)

Checked with my MB dealer and it would cost me $140 + tax. What would it cost from your friend, same as your cost?

Thanks Andrew I'll be in touch with him tomorrow. My dealer showed me a whole catalog of aftermarket ***** but I was afraid as you suggested with the Momo **** the fit would not be the same. I think the black leather should look nice. Thanks again, Marc.

Installed it last week and although mine didn't screw on as easily as I had hoped it would, it did finally go on and is real nice. Really like the feel of the leather and the smaller feel in my hand. Thanks for the connection to your friend. He/they were a pleasure to deal with.

Those are nice Rob but I was a little concerned about the height not being taller than the current one. Other than the MB **** which is probably the same height as the stock Crossfires the others (Momos) may be taller. The one I got is plain looking but the leather is a perfect color match with our interiors and it certainly won't get as hot as metal in the summertime with the top down sitting in the sun for any length of time. What ever happened to your diffuser? Don't see it listed on your additions.

Received them damaged and had to return them, they have been on perpetual backorder. Got a refund from CTD-Germany. I am working with a friend, to try and custom fabricate a rear diffuser. I will post some pics when we get the mock up done. Imagine the two spaces one on each side of the exhaust encased and with a narrow chrome or diamond mesh insert, hopefully it will be seamless with the bumper.

Fourth from the left is my choice. That is it for the Slate/Vanilla interior.
Gotta go to the MB dealer and get that baby.
Can I get the part number on the MB Accessories Site??

If this offer still stands, then Joe Wood has another customer. Please let me know. Thanks.

Does anyone else think the power mirror **** should be relocated? My arm hits it while resting my arm on the center console.
Just relocating it would make the shift **** feel better for me as it would put my arm in a better location.
I will let you know if I find a solution that is not a ridiculous amount of work.
Any suggestions?
