Hi , I bought a top from BAS International about a year ago. Finally got around to installing it yesterday. One of the cross ribs that slide into frame channels totally separated from the top. Has anyone else had this problem ?

 

I believe they stand behind their tops 100%.

 

I have contacted BAS , but haven't gotten a response yet.

 

I was just at the Fall Tail of the Dragon this past weekend and was talking to Thorn who is on the forum and he had the same problem as you. He contacted BAS and they sent him a new top to replace the bad top. Maybe he'll chime in if he sees this post.

Would be curious to know if BAS has analyzed the "root cause" of these repeat failures. Somewhat a concern that they may not know why these failures occur but deal with it by replacing the defective top. Nice to know their warranty is solid. However, as a buyer I would want this to not be a problem to begin with.
