I have supplies to repair but am expecting a few days of rain. Bottom and sides are completely unglued. I believe the trunk is sealed, Water should just run out the tansu drain? Any danger of flooding something important? Thx
I don't remember seeing a seal on the front tonneau area near the seats just on the sides. The CLP/SSM is in the passenger trunk area under the black molded foam. It will get damaged if water gets to it. I would get a car cover quick if you are unable to garage it. The security module is back there as well on the passenger side. On the drivers side in the back you have the top module and pump.
Go under the trunk of the car and look up... You will see the left and right trunk wells (they are mirror images of each other) with the exhaust running back between them. They have been sprayed underneath with undercoating but you are going to see little holes on the left and right wells at their innermost to the centerline of the car from the bottom that are plugged from above. I've attached a picture of the passenger side trunk well from above and circled the plug you can pop out from underneath by shoving a screw driver up through that hole and pushing it out or working it lose so until you have no restriction through that hole and the plug has been displaced... It may take a little work to get it displaced. There is no need to take the entire trunk apart to get to these wells to pop out those plugs. Pop out the plug to the driver's side at the same time. Once they are out you can forget about water accumulating in the wells. Don't worry about damaging anything as long as you aren't ramming a screwdriver way up through the hole... just enough to pop that little plug out. Often people will pop the passenger side plug from underneath and water WILL flow out (as mine did when I popped it).. they just caught it in time before the well filled to the point that it ruined the electronic components in the well that includes the pump that operates the door, trunk and gas cap locks. Once popped out, don't worry about water or spray making it's way UP into that hole while driving... water flows down hill and others report having no problems after popping those plugs out.

OR, just 'slit' the plug with a sharp object and 'ream' it out some. IF any moisture gets in there it'll leak out. I'm not of the mindset to take the whole plug out. You don't need that large a hole, IMHO.
Can someone tell or show where to look for these plugs from the outside?
The only picture here is from the inside and I'm hoping to avoid taking the trunk apart.
If your repair doesn't hold I have had the entire top/rear window replaced with new, and covered 100% under my Comprehensive Coverage ... make sure you take photos of the window/top as it is before any repair ... the more photos the better ... take close ups of the failed bond between the top and glass

they are above a braket , only about an inch to access. Look at the interior pic, you can see the two bolts that hold the bracket.

OR, just 'slit' the plug with a sharp object and 'ream' it out some. IF any moisture gets in there it'll leak out. I'm not of the mindset to take the whole plug out. You don't need that large a hole, IMHO.
