Convertible Trunk Divider
HELP!! Someone stole the trunk divider for my 2005 Roadster thus, my convertible top will not go down. I'm having real trouble trying to find a replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
I think the part is
Cover-Trunk Room - Mopar (1BS41XDVAA)Hope someone on here has one for sale, since the ones I have seen for sale on eBay or elsewhere are VERY expensive |
Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
Thanks so much, I can't believe someone just took it- my car is always locked. I think the shop lost it when they replaced my shocks, but can't prove it.

Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
Simple search
Look for trunk divider fabricated by Shamrock I bought a pair. There great quality |
Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
Thanks, but what I'm needing is the "rear cargo compartment divider"- the one that hooks into the sides and allows the top to go down.

Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
They’re out there
5 second search on eBay yielded this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/11509958446...0AAOSwmolhlT07 This one appears to be a little tough but good quality examples exist https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...7277700a0.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...9c9b77743.jpeg |
Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
Did you ask the shop? It may still be there?

Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
Thanks I saw this one, and it is the trunk carpet, but does not have the divider.

Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
Maybe your car isn’t a crossfire because it looks just like the divider I have in my roadster and the spare I have on the shelf.
I’ve circled the left/right sides that roll into the side brackets. Any chance that the existing divider is still there and was just folded forward? https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...bb41fb8a4.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...db3bedbe8.jpeg |
Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
Thanks so much, I'll keep looking to see if I can find one in better shape. Have a great day!!!

Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
In twelve years on this forum, this is a new one. Why would someone remove the divider?
|
Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
I hardly ever remove my partition, but since the two "pegs" fit into switches to let the car know it is safe to lower the roof, there must be some way to defeat or fool the switches into thinking the pegs are present. I'll leave that to the smarter electrical gurus on the forum.

Re: Convertible Trunk Divider
I suspect you are correct and that the shop removed it when installing your shocks. The likelihood of someone stealing the divider is astronomical. Needless-to-say, the top should operate if the micro-switch in the left side bracket holder is taped or in some other way held in the closed position. Peak your head in the trunk and look on the left, locate the divider holder and you will see the small micro-switch.
