Angry Car Broken Into!!! :(:(

Such a sad day...come out to go to work and the top had been cut into pieces and the dash torn up real bad with my new Pioneer navigation unit gone. Didn't take the thing of cds on the floor, so I guess they got what they came for. Just another reason I can't stand living in DC. There was like 20 cars broken into in my 'Gated' community...and all the management had to say was, oh I am sorry...and no we aren't doing anything to make the place more secure.

Luckily it is a 2005 and less than 15k miles, so I get all new dealer parts...but I am trying to decide if I should take the money for the stereo or get the thing replaced with the same model. I am afraid the week after I get it fixed they'll be back to do it again. I don't know if I should put the stock radio back or not to deter them from robbing me again. Any suggestions from anyone this might have happened to in the past? Thanks from a very sad X-fire owner.

Invest part of the money in a better alarm system, such as a zone alarm that will go off if anyone puts any part of their body inside the car.
I had that happen in my old convertible...top slashed and pioneer head unit stolen. I made out with a brand new top, new head unit, and a pair of speakers.
