Default Crossfire in for radiator recall...

Just took my crossfire in yesterday for the radiator cooling fan recall - my dealership had 1 left so they did not need to order one. Also on the "to do" list:

Headlamp condensation - they have ordered parts to fix the problem.

1st and 2nd gear shifts - they have ordered what he called a "transmission kit" which they said would determine what is making the shifting difficult - unfortunately they told me the car would be in the shop for 4-5 days.

top was difficult to latch - they made an adjustment.

trunk lid is difficult to close.

The car only has 3,500 miles on it and I absolutely love it! All these items have been mentioned on this forum before, so just thought I'd let you know...my dealership has been great! Free car rental too...

sorry - recall was for cooling fan only.

also replaced headlight seals.

the service dept. told me they would order a "kit" to check the shifting on my 1st and 2nd gears - they said, they have had a few in with a similar problem - car will need to be in the shop for a couple days he said...

How long did it take to put the cooling fan motor in?

Try 3M Plastic Cleaner on the headlight lenses. I thought I gad the same problem and had made the appointment to get the drivers side replaced. The 3M Plastic cleaner which is available on their web site for about 8 bucks will fix your problem 9 times outta 10. I did mine back in August and they are crystal clear. Don't know about other plastic cleaners, I was told here, to use the 3M.

I had the headlight lenses problem back in Sept - Oct at the time of purchase, but now with the season change the problem seems to be cleared up. My dealership has my kit but if the lenses stay clear I'm not going to let the dealership replace the seal.
