Default Fair Price for an SRT-6 Coupe

My local dealer has four new 2005 SRT-6 coupes for sale, they are advertising $14,000 off MSRP (Around $31,700 + ttl) . I have seen some new ones go for as low as $29K on ebay - but none that are close to me.

What is a realistic price for one of these cars? Do you think $15,700 off msrp is doable? That would put the car at about $30,000 + ttl. I have test driven the car twice and love it, my only complaint is lack of aux input for my ipod (which I will solve by installing an alpine unit with a front aux in for about $200). And rear visibility is kind of lacking, which I can deal with - I might get some of those small mirrors that stick on the side views to give an increased viewing angle.

Thanks,

- Patrick

At the local dealer I heard of one going for 26K. They still have three left and I bet you could pick it up for around 25k.

Wow, that's a great price if you can get one of these things for 25K. Sheesh, I would drive out there and get it, then drive back to CA. Whereabouts are you or the dealership's that have those SRT-6's for that price? We paid 34K out in CA and that's still 9K less wherever you're at. I wonder why folks don't pick them up for that... Hell, Hondas with all the options cost more than that... (unless gas prices are scaring away more buyers). Get some links up if they are advertised for that price. Would be good to see... Sure makes those that spent $42K for one, drop a load in their pants though.

I live in College Station TX. The dealer is Trademark Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler. It used to be Bossier, but they changed ownership a few months back. I believe they still have three left. Just let me know if you need any more info.

According to their website:

http://www.bossiergroup.com/ou/bryan...r_specials_new

They are listed for $35K to $37K.

Seems like there are better deals in texas than anywhere else, as noted above, there are some out there in the high 20K range. From what I've seen lately, there are a fair number of SRT's to be had in the mid to lower thirties. If you're not too picky about colors. Also, something I just found out, my dealer is asking 32k for xf's on the lot, but if you ask go through the web, you get "special" pricing...(I got a 27K quote online from the dealer down the street).

Advice is to look around on the web and the online auto services, there are deals out there to be had. If you're going to save, 5k+ on a car, it's worth a plane ticket, a couple of hours/days (and a great road trip)!

I was in the dealership the last week and talked with the guy who sold me my xfire, he said the week previous they sold one for 26k. Also, I think that's also what they have listed on the window of the cars. If you're thinking of getting one let me know and I'll talk to my guy for you. I've already sent him three people this week for different cars and all of them got great deals.

I'll try to talk with him sometime in the next day or two. I know for sure I could get one down to 26k. Maybe even a little less.

i'd be willing to part with my black srt6 with 5,000 miles for $35,000.

it has navigation, tint, and 6 year 75,000 mile warranty.

I can buy several different new ones cheaper than that.

As for that dealership, I called 'em earlier today. The store is closed until Friday at 9:00 AM. All the sales people and managers are in training for the new owners.

26K for a srt 6 sounds like a super deal -- almost to good to be true. At that price the dealer is taking a huge loss and I doubt that it is actually happening. Maybe for a standard xfire or limited but I doubt it for an srt 6. I just noticed it is almost 20K off MSRP, Its like half price. If its true put me down for as many as they got and I will keep them as spares.

Nope, that price is for an srt-6. They actually don't have any xfire limited in stock. My guy is still backing what he told me for a price, 26K for a srt-6 coupe. Hell, if you buy all three at once I bet he could go down to 25k or maybe even a little more. He's itching to sell these b/c he gets a nice commission on them. If anyone is truly interested pm me and let me know.

So what xfire did you buy? What did you pay? I asked for a quote and the dealership e-mailed me back with a price of 35K to 37K. Maybe they really like you, but for 25K you should buy them and re-sell them you could make alot of money. Not many cars with 330 HP out there for 25K. Motor alone has to be worth 15K brand new, and there has got to be more than 10K in parts wheels and tires alone are worth 1.5K. Someone best pick these up at that price if it is true.
