went to the track today with the srt-6
my best time was a 13.31 at a 107. i could have done better but it was like 100 outside and the track wasn't that good at all so i wasn't getting good traction out the hole. next time i go i'm hoping for a 13 flat. but i was still happy because i had like the fastest car the that was stock. i was beating new gto's and ws6 trans ams.

Outstanding run. The lowest et in my stock SRT6 is 12.98 at 113 mph (Capitol Raceway, Crofton,MD) but that took a few (8) runs. The auto-stick can be confusing b/c you want to mash the clutch before the shift. It took a few to get used to banging gears w/o patting the foot. LOL. Anything under 13.50 in a stock machine is hauling ***. Good Job.

you need to figure out what rpm to hold/launch the car at (one foot on the gas... one on the brake to build boost/torque)...called brake torquing... for the best runs.

Best I could muster out of my SRT6 was 13.554 @ 105.88 mph. I actually pushed the ESP button and would leave the automatic in "D". Could only leave the line around 2,000 rpm, anything higher would just spin the tires.
Have you guys used the autostick while racing? Did it help lower the times any?
I'm looking to go again and see if I can improve on the times some.

took it to the track again and got a 13.20 at a 108.2. it was weird because i was doing worse 60 foot times then before but running faster because it was colder out. i think with the 60 foot times i was running before and on a colder day i should be able to run a 13 flat or maybe even a 12.9 like the other guy. i should be going to a nicer track in a couple weeks so will see what i do.

If memory servers, I do believe he was using a "non-stock" tire that may have had a better compound for better bite at the drags. Also, It looked to me like it may have been a slightly smaller diameter, and if it really was, then that would effectively lower his gear ratio and quite possibly give him all the "edge" he needs to break into the 12's.
I wish he could bring it to the Mopar Nats in Columbus. A 12 sec, Crossfire would really wake up the crowd there.
The car is capable of a 12.9 if you can make it hook up. It is the mph of 113 that has got me thinking. With that high of a mph the car should be capable of low 12's if it can hook up. Also with that high of a mph I estimate his hp to be around 380, seems a bit more than stock.
The high MPH usually comes from lack of traction at the starting line.
Most cars I've seen run, including my previous SRT-4 had higher mph when the 60 ft wasn't good.
Whenever I did get it to hook up better at the line, the mph went down and so did the 1/4 time.
An example...
My modded SRT-4 ran 12.7 @ 118 mph w/bad 2.2 60 ft times on street tires,
with practice I got it to run 12.5 @ 116 mph w/ 2.0 60 ft times.
My buddies 71' Roadrunner runs 12.2 @ 110 mph w/1.7 60 ft times on drag radials.
Either way, 113 mph is kind of hard to believe from a stock SRT-6 no matter what the 60 ft time is.

Perhaps it's a bit like one of my runs years ago. I pulled an 8.3 @ 325 mph in the 1/8 but slowed to a 13.2 @ 108 in the 1/4. The acceleration and braking was brutal.
The clocks simply blew the 1/8 mph somehow.
Last weekend, a local track was giving everybody a 2.4 60' time in the right lane but the left lane was registering properly.

5 mph faster than 05BlackSRT6's 13.20 at 108 mph does seem like a bit much, but not out of the realm of possibility.
Of course until ICHON chimes in and reveals his true tire size, all this is pure speculation on my part.
On the other hand, maybe that little fire extinguisher bottle he had in his car is actually filled with "NOS" for just such occasions.
Sorry for the double post, also for wandering off the subject, but I wanted to ask FEETs a question about his '65 Plymouth.
You have your car listed as a Belvedere, but it really looks like a Satellite, did you remove the side moldings?
The '65 Satellite was my favorite "mid size" Plymouth, and yours looks especially "Bad Asp" with the "Super Stock" style hood scoops.
My brother had a '65 Belvedere 383 4 spd, when I got my drivers license at 16. It was the first Muscle car, and first 4 spd Muscle car I ever drove. Also the first time I was ever pulled over by the Cops too.
I never had any Mopars without Torqueflights after driving his Belvedere, until I got my 96 Dodge, and of course now with my XF 6 spd.
