Thumbs up Just bought SRT6

I just bought a used '05 SRT6 Black with Nav, 12K, from a local Chrysler Dealer. I think I got a good deal at $29,000. Would like to hear what SRT6 owners think about theirs. I have not driven it much, but love the power and the looks.

Welcome to the club and congrats! I enjoyed driving mine today with the top down and I got several looks. I've had mine for about three weeks and I love it. BTW, you got it for a good price.

Enjoy the new ride.

The car is a vastly underappreciated sleeper and a real blast to drive. And, IMHO, nothing, and I mean nothing, even begins to approach its looks for twice the price. Congrats.

I admit I'm biased, but having owned both a Crossfire and two Lotus Elise's, I would say the Elise/Exige cars approach the Crossfire's looks for about twice the price, or less on the used car market.

I will admit to being biased too, but you are absolutely correct about the Lotus. A little less comfortable than the SRT6, but either Lotus definitely fits the criteria of looks and performance at less than twice the price.

Any others?

performance yes, but looks i would have to disagree... and if you go by the intended price... (msrp price) than the srt is just as, if not more expensive as the lotus.

Have you taken a look at the Porsche Cayman? Very similar, most
especially from the rear. And, not terribly more expensive than
the Crossfire SRT-6.

SRT is faster, cheaper, arguably better looking, and built by Mercedes why bother with the Porsche?

I know what you mean, but in the real world a comparably equipped Cayman S (@ 295 HP) costs more than double what the SRT6 does. That's what Chrysler's deep discounting and public perception of the brand have done for us. The MSRPs may be close on paper, but the options on the Cayman S take its price up by five figures while the standard but similarly equipped SRT6 can be found for five figures less than sticker. That's why the car is such a spectacular bargain today (as long as it doesn't need service from Chrysler, anyway).
