Today I purchased a SRT-6. Here's a link to the description and reasoning (sort of) at SLKworld. I like my sig on this forum, it applies to both of my auto's.

Congratulations on your new purchase and selection of the best color crossfire. It really looks sweet. Enjoy your new ride and welcome to the club.

Is there room in the garage for two? Will the new born get preferential treatment or stepchild treatment?

You will be like a woman trying to decide what to wear... and wishing you could drive them both at the same time. lol

Welcome.

What did you pay, btw...

Since you seem to be in the know...

Would you mind telling me/us just how much Mercedes/SLK our Crossfires actually are?

I have read and been told that our Engine and Drive Train are discontinued SLK, but that is all. I'm assuming Mercedes got away from it in 2002 or 2003, but that is just a guess.

Anyways, it would be nice to know just how much and what Mercedes we do have... fun to tell others about this 'Chrysler'. lol

What do you want to know about the SLK? I've got 15 or 20 of them floating around the store at any giving time.

The XF is a 170 chassis SLK ('98 to '04). The differences are in the body, trim and vario roof vs soft top on the roadsters. Naturally, there were no fixed roof SLKs.
The drivetrain is essentially the same. We hooked my SRT up to the MB system and got into everything except the shifter and ESP.

That all depends on Tex. We've got an agreement and I'm sure he'll hold true.
