VIN 55019. On another subject back in 1983 I purchased a new Mustang 5-0 convertable. It had a serious defect with the top so I made a visit to CARS AND CONCEPTS in Brighton. Have you ever heard of it and is it still there?

I hope I am getting my number in for my SRT6 Roadster 55019.

crossfirefun is keeping the SRT database up to date and he checks this thread regularly for new numbers.

CARS AND CONCEPT went out of business in the mid-90s when Ford took over the built of the Mustang convertible..C&C did police car conversions for a while after that at a smaller location a mile down the road from the original factory. The owner is now retired touring the country in one of those big $$$$$ bus.

 

After my visit to C&C they were willing to make the car right. Ford shipped the car back to them from the Ford Norfolk assembly plant. C&C completely started over again with the top and did a perfect job. Ford paid my air fair back to Detroit and their rep picked me up from the airport in my car. Once we agree it was satisfactory they filled the tank and sent me back to Virginia. That was before Ford into quality was job one back in the 80'ies.

05 Graphite serial # 025366 purchased from dealer in Elgin IL 03/07 with 8000 miles I was told it wes a Diamler Crysler exec car from Germany, even has the holes for the euro style plates. Needswings intake and code 3 pully this thing is crazy fast and is not governed like the ones sold here in the US.

 

This is the oldest/lowest number I have in the database. Possibly the first registered model.

 

I would be curious what the build date is of this ??? SRT6! I have not seen any SN's anywhere near that low.

 

At some point Karmann indicated that 25366 was the first SRT to come off the production line.....I also remember verifying it was a SRT thru the Chrysler owners website. Most likely March 2004 build date.

 

You are correct build date 03/04 at this point if you are correct it looks like I am the proud owner of the first if not one of the first SRT6.
