2006 Srt6
I am told there are 2006 SRT-6 cars. Not that any of them ever had 2005 VIN's, but that they were made and could have been numbered as '05's, but were not.
Having said that, my dealer says the ports have run out of 2006 SRT cars. They may still be on dealer's lots but none are left on Chrysler Corp. holding lots. It is also safe to say there will not be any Crossfires badged as 2007 models. Chrysler is still dangling the possibility of a 2008 Crossfire, but even the dealer says that is...remote at best.

It was actually the same guy I spoke with almost a month ago.
Here is what he told me (I'm not saying it's the 100% truth, just what he said):
There were a very limited number of 2006 SRT6s produced. They were all roadsters (he thought) and were 'test quality vehicles' which were originally not to be sold to customers, but a decision was made to do so.
He has heard that there may be a 2007 model Crossfire (didn't specify whether base/limited/SRT6) but as of now, no decision has been made.
He had no production numbers/figures available at this time.
He also said that if you look on chrysler.com - you can build and price a 2006 SRT6 roadster. I just looked and did not see it.
I told him that the differing information provided to the public by DCX was ridiculous and very confusing. He didn't say anything.
This is nuts. I am tempted to sell mine and go with something else. It is scary to see how messed up they are concerning the Crossfire (plus the lack of service techs) and its only 2007. What's it going to be like a few years down the road?

We have found 3 so far: 64173 Gray Coupe, 64171 and 641172 are roadsters in gray and SSB, just not sure which is which at the moment.
These are also the only 3 VINs I have that are in perfect order.

Thats my question.
And my dealer has no answer. (He says there are none.)
Anybody know of any? Where?
Thanks.

The VIN says '06, but the latest Crossfire brochures show all SRT-6s with SRT badging in the area of the side strakes. No badging present on the one in this link. Makes you wonder what's going on?

i think we had a discussion about the side srt logo on the new literature. i'm pretty sure most concluded that the literature was artistically enhanced, like digitally imposed, so i wouldn't be too alarmed if the new ones don't have it.
The 2006 SRT-6 does exist in both convertible and coupe form. I do not have production numbers.
The 2006 SRT-6 did not get the proposed side badges or body colored windshield trim.
The 2006 SRT-6s came with the SRT TRACK EXPERIENCE (XPYS) at no charge.
The 2006 SRT-6s lost the HEADLAMP OFF TIME DELAY (LHDS) and HALOGEN PROJECTOR W/DELAY HEADLAMPS (LMTS) features. Instead they received the standard HALOGEN HEADLAMPS (LMAS).
The 2006 SRT-6s were available in MACHINE GRAY CLEAR COAT (P17) which replaced the 2005
GRAPHITE METALLIC CLEAR COAT color (PDR).
EDIT: Looking at the photos, it appears these two colors may in fact be the same...

The rep is probably correct. I ran a locate and couldn't find a single new one myself, although there were plenty of 2006 base and limited models...
The '06 SRT-6 is extremely rare. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there were a couple hundred or less produced. Good luck in your search. You're going to need it.

Is it possible that the '06 SRT6 was not really available as a new vehicle through the dealers? It seems to me that all that have been listed are low mileage executive cars. Maybe Chrysler just made them available to their employees.

My dealer has tried and been told by Chrysler's Southeast regional rep that there are no more.
Thanks!

There is a dealer in Cleveland Ohio (Deluca Chrysler) that has a new never titled '05 SRT6 Coupe on their lot. I am sure you could probably get a good deal on that. It has approximately 300 miles on it... I actually test drove it before I bought my '06 LTD Roadster.

I'll be attending the session at Elkhart Lake, WI on October 19th!
