Did you buy it for attention? Not me, but...
I have to laugh at how much attention the Crossfire gets. In May of 2006 I purchased my 2005 Black on Black Crossfire SRT-6 because I LOVE TO DRIVE, the Audi TT felt to cramped, the Porsche Boxsters are common and the price was right for the power and styling. It was really the clear choice.
So now I have to laugh because some many people want to ask questions about it, look at it and I mean look at it at a stoplight, the speed up to take a look and then give a thumbs up or something...It's hilarious. The best is when one of those "Fast and Furious" Nerd-mobiles pull up next to me and they look over as if to say, "You think that's a sports car?" They must have tried to race a regular crossfire or a limited before or the just have no clue...THE SRT-6 is nasty and blows most away. It's just funny to see the reaction on their faces when they meet you at the next light...haha.
What are you experiences with this?

I bought mine because I love it car and everything that comes with it. But when I got it, or when looking, I had no clue everyone else was so amazed with it.
Haha, I hear that...I just went out on a date with a girl the other day. She didn't see my car initially because we met up at a place. So while we were walking out, She saw my car and said, "You drive a spaceship?". I said "No, this is a rocketship".
Haha that would have been fine, but while we were pulling out of the lot she says in a sarcastic way, "So what are we compensating for?"
I said, "Nothing, I just like cars." Lol!

Actually yes, we will be going out again! She did catch me a little off guard with that, but luckily I don't have problems with my "junk"
It was just funny that she said that because I guess she thought the car was too "exotic" or something. This is coming from a girl that is totally not into cars and has never actually driven a car!!
Cuse,
That's really a coincidence. I purchased mine just at the end of May 2006 also. I had been drooling for one for two years... especially the SRT6 model. I love performance cars and I love to drive.
I had no idea the amount of attraction the car held.
My wife loves it. When we go somewhere on a trip, she enjoys watching other people eyeballing the car. It's pure entertainment, even when it's sitting still in a parking lot.
If you ever get to a track with one, you will have a blast, I know I did!

I was through there back in 1992 whilst on a trip to the Mopar Nats in my Demon - I see the roads haven't got any better in the last 15 years!!

I drove my XF to work for the 1st time since I put it away for winter today. Man, I had forgotten how fun it is to drive it.
Here's the funny part. On my way in, I had a cop behind me for about a mile and finally pulled me over. He apologized for stopping me, but wanted to know what kind of car I was driving. He recognized the Chrysler wing, but could not believe it was a Chrysler. As he's checking it out, he realizes I don't have a front plate. He just raised his eye brow, and told me I should get one. He told me how much he liked the car, and drove away.
Next, we go out after work for a beer. One of my consultants asked me at the bar; "is that your black Mercedes convertible out there"? When I told him yeah, he said "man your company really takes care of you". I just grinned and took it in.
Not a bad day.

[FONT=Tahoma]When I first bought mine I couldn't believe how many people I would catch admiring my car in parking lots and as I drove around town in Columbus. That was nothing compared to when I added some special effects! 20" rims, chrome mirror covers, chrome window surround, etc... I have people ask me all the time what kind of car is it. I really need to post some new pics...but back to the attention part...Hell YEAH! I wanted something I didn't see on every corner.
