Default performance parts for srt-6?

So glad I finally found a place for srt-6! I've searched the threads and seen some concerning performance upgrades.

I can't get a response from Renntech. Are there other options out there?

Speed Innovation http://www.speedinnovation.com/
Evosport http://evosport.com/

Cross reference with c32 or slk32 if needed... and by the way speed innovation has had quiet a bit of expereince with our cars lately...

I saw the 1 0f 2016 srt-6 coupes lines. I have a 2005 SRT-6 vert. I've seen the number 928 for that production run. Anybody have the production numbers for SRT-6s?

2,016 SRT6 Coupes and 928 SRT6 Roadsters are the latest and actually only production figures Chrysler has given up this far (to the best of my knowledge).
However, it was supposed to be a '2005' only vehicle. So far 3 2006 SRT6s have came about, all purchased by forum members. We are unsure if the 2006s are in addition to the above numbers or included.

There is a thread on here titled 'SRT6 Serial Numbers' where SRT6 owners post their model year, color, body style (coupe/vert), and the last 6 digits of their VIN. Forum member SRT SIX keeps track of the forum members' data and I keep track of all of the SRT6 data I can find. I think I'm up to 362 SRT6s so far.

Congrats on your purchase.

When changing the air filters ensure you plug in the engine vent hose at the rear of the supercharger. It is hard to see that it is off and will suck dirt into the manifold and help reduce the life of your engine.
I found this on a car I was test driving at the dealer and stopped a couple miles down the road to look under the hood. When I began looking at all the STUFF under there I noticed the vent hose and then I removed the air filters and photo them. 1 of them was loaded with white dusting. I own a marine diesel service and know what dusting an engine is. That is what I saw. Don't let it happen to you. Look it over good guys!

I got my Renntech kit from the main headquarters in FL. The guy I bought it from was the senior sales person Bob Brady, call (561) 845-7888 and ask for him, he was very good to deal with. He will even hook you up with their tech's that do the work at their store so you can talk to them with about any questions you may have. If you want tell him that I suggested to buy from him, I'm sure he will remember me we exchanged several e-mails and phone calls, maybe he'll send me a thank you card.

Good info thanks a lot. I live in the panhandle of FL so they are much more accessible. I like the threads I've read about speed innovation, but it is just too far away. The travel would offset any savings.

I'm not knocking SI or any other company, although Renntech is priced a little higher they have been in the AMG tuning business since I believe 1986. They also have one of the best reputations out there, they also have a few stores at MB AMG dealerships, so that should tell you they are AMG approved as far as your OEM warranty.

Steve,

Good point, thanks for pointing that out. Any thoughts on the sprint booster? Is it just a shift kit like back in the day on turbo 350/400's?

I have a Sprint Booster, but I did not drive the car with it installed before installing the Renntech kit, so I really don't know what it would have done when the car was stock. The best to my understanding of the Sprint Booster, the Crossfire's have a sort of memory that it keeps track of how you have been driving and communicates to the throttle response. I believe it kind of keeps the computers memory erased so that the car reacts more like a car that has a direct mechanical connection from the gas pedal to the throttle body rather than using the throttle positioning sensor. I asked the guy's at Renntech if the Sprint Booster would effect their kit and they said they didn't believe in them, I have thought about pulling mine out and selling it if I could see no difference in how the car reacted.

Steve,
If you don't mind me asking, how much did the Renntech kit cost you in total (parts, install, etc.)? I think they list it as being $3,295, but I wondered if that included all.
Also, how much do you think the upgrade helped in 0-60 times?
Thanks.

I think when I bought the kit it was $2,995, but I had to pay $45 to ship them my ECU and about half of the shipping was for $2,000 of insurance on the ECU in case it got lost or something during shipping. So I have $3,040 in the kit and I did the install myself. As far as the 0-60 times it's hard to say because there's so much power you can't really get in it with out breaking the tires loose. And really I have hardly driven the car much, it's only got around 1,300 miles on it, I installed the kit at 1,054 miles. But I can say from 30 MPH to 172 MPH it will pin your ears back. I took a friend for a ride in it a few weeks ago, I slapped it into 1st and run it up to around 2,500 RPM then kind of slowly floored it just enough to not break loose and ran it up to 100 MPH, he looked at me and said "my god this thing would eat up a Vette."

The car is a blast to drive with the Renntech package and the Sprint Booster!
I think my sig tells just how fast the car can be with the mods listed that I did to the car. 12.6 in the 1/4 mile is a big improvement over the stock times of around 13.2

FWIW I'm trading in my leased SRT-6 in two weeks and have pulled the parts off the car...I'll be selling the parts in the For Sale section... I sure am going to miss this car.
