New SRT6 Owner.
Hi, I haven't posted much on this site, but I have been a member for about a year now since I bought My '04 ssb coupe last may. I love this site for the information and helpful people it has. I love my Crossfire even more. Seeing the price of the SRT6 go down, I just couldn't resist so I bought an aero blue srt6 with off of the internet. I paid $25,900 plus $1,200 to get it shipped. It only has 3,000 miles. The car is being shipped from Roanoke, IL to Wenatchee, WA. (It's hard to fine an SRT6 up here for under $35,000) I can not wait to be a member of this elite group.
So if any of you see an aero blue Xfire on a truck driving down the highway, let me know how it looks.
I'll take some pictures of both cars on delivery day, which will be friday or saturday.

Did you buy it outright or did you trade in or anything? I want to get an srt-6 but I live in oregon and as you stated there aren't much around here, in addition I would have to trade in my limited coupe.
I didn't trade anything in. I don't know if I will keep my '04 coupe or sell it. I may trade it in with my Explorer for a Honda Ridgeline. BTW, the SRT6 is also a coupe.
SpaceManSpiff, Congrats on the SRT6. I happen to notice you are thinking about a Ridgeline. I have one and love it. There is a big following growing already. Go to RidgelineOwnersClub.com for a lot of info about the truck. I've been to several meets and it's a great group of people.
Good luck with the SRT.
Good luck with the SRT.
Congrats on your new ride. I can say you bought it from a very reputable dealer. They actually know the crossfire well. They have several very well trained technicians for the crossfires.
I just got the car today, gonna drive it around this weekend and see how it is. I will take some pics during that time and post them monday probably. The first thing I need to do is give it a wash. Its very dirty from being on the highway for 2,000 miles.
I drove around my new SRT-6 this weekend and man, this car does not even compare to the base Crossfire. You can tell this car was made for a race track. I love the sound of the engine and the feel of all that power. Even with the Conti tires the car takes corners better than my '04 coupe with the pilots. While on my first drive with the car I thought to myself that this car just had a whole different personality than the base Xfire. I imagine if they did have personalities that my base Xfire would be a spunky teenage girl chirping "Come on man, lets go for a drive yah, yah, it will be fun yeehah!" And my SRT-6 would be more like a big husky man with a deep voice saying, " You want to drive me? You think you can handle me? I'm gonna make you wet your panties, now step on that gas pedal until it hits the floor and keep it there you mommas boy!" I took it out today and quickly, REALLY quickly got it up to 150. I don't know if its the blue color or engine noise that makes it stand out more, but I get more looks and people wanting to race than with my silver Xfire, and now I can be more confident against almost any car out there. Just a WONDERFUL car!
Now here are some "new owner issues" I have.
1. Does the SRT-6 have the 7 year powertrain warranty? I want to transfer it over, but it came with a special SRT-6 warranty manual that does not mention the powertrain warranty, but it is mentioned in the owners manual.
2. When I don't have my foot on the gas and coast, especially down a steep hill I hear a real faint whistling noise. Is this the supercharger and is it normal?
3. There is a weird noise from the rear hatch. It is a creak noise that sounds almost like rain drops hitting the car. I had a different noise from the latch on my '04 coupe and had that fixed. Is this the same issue with the SRT-6 model or is this sound a different issue. They are completely different noises.

I live on a pretty busy road, so people kept driving by and staring at the cars with everything open. I should have taken pictures of all their reactions.
As soon as they fix the roads from here to levenworth. I drove down there today and they have the highway dug up and grooved for a few miles.
Actually, maybe soon. It is Apple Blossom week here and this weekend the town will be crowded with cruisers and cops, mostly cops. I am on vacation right now so I want to try and get out of town, and my brother wants to go to a mariners game soon. If they have a home series this week sometime maybe Ill head out that way.

welcome to the world of the SRT brand... its the same as the neon to the SRT-4, the Crossfire to the SRT6, the Magnum, 300C, Charger and Cherokee to the SRT8's... the SRT changes so much from the standard version of the car.
