Default Boost (PSI) on the SRT-6

I was just wondering how much boost the SRT-6 is running, and have any of you guys tuned it to run more?

I believe it's somewhere around 12 to 14 PSI, but I'm not positive.

I have not tried to boost it as I'm happy with the power as is for now. If I change my mind I'll probably go with a full Speed Innovations tuning job instead of messing with just the boost pressure.

An underdrive pulley set will increase the RPM on the supercharger and increase the boost pressure, but to realize the full potential, you will need to have your ECU tuned as well. Hence, going to SI for the job.

Do a search. I thought it was 21 but i don't remember. I know this has been discussed before.
Good luck.

damn that's quite a bit. i wonder how much HP you would be making after the pulley exchange and ecu tuning. how much does the SI Tuning run for?

Do a search for "My tune my story" or something like that... One of our members gave the results on a NON-SRT6.

Another of our members had an SRT6 done as well. The SI guys got (if I remember correctly) over 400 estimated HP and ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel. I forget how much they measured at the rear wheels. In the story is the price for the upgrade... not super cheap, but not Renntech prices either.

When I was talking with Renntech about their ECU & pulley upgrade I asked them how much boost I would gain. They told me that the stock SRT6 at around 5,800 to 6,000 RPM the boost was 16 to 17 PSI, and with their kit at the same RPM's the boost would be around 21 to 22 PSI. I found this hard to believe at the time, but in another thread several months ago before I bought and installed the Renntech kit somebody that sounded like they knew what they were talking about said that in their opinion those numbers were true.
