What is the first digit your VIN? The first digit signifies country of origin. 4 = Germany, 1 = USA, 2 = Canada. My 300C starts with a 2 which is fine. My SRT6 starts with a 1 which I found very interesting. I am curious about others.

 

Mine is a 1 and I'm in Canada.

I work for a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealer. All of the Crossfire serial numbers that I have seen begin with "1". It is probably that Chrysler is a US company and the car comes out under the US serial number system.

 

Yeah all the Crossfires I checked on e-bay start with a "1" as well. I thought my car may have been special. My Canadian made 300C does start with a "2" and I know it has more USA content than the Crossfire.

 

yea i have thought about that in the past as well... probably even the people that gave them the vins did not really know what they were doing...
