9 records from the free report. With my experience this is not a good sign from a car that new with only 10k!! Anybody still have a subscription that can go further? Where is it for sale? Make them give you the Carfax report. My .0002 of a cent. Is this the blue roadster in NY-NJ? If it is its the one we have talked about already and has water damage.

I just ran the carfax on it... stay far far away... it's a flood victim with a salvage title.

Thank you very much! Hail damage wasn't reported in Carfax? At least the dealership gave me a disclosure on it.

Is there a disadvantage when buying a leased car?

Eh, I bought mine and it was a lease......Carfax was clean. Runs excellent, but it had 36k miles on it which i thought to be a bit high. When i looked at the car it was just getting dark and I didn't see the few door dings the car had until the next day after i purchaced it.... Oh well, i did get a good price on it so I can't really complain. Just make sure you check the entire car out before you buy!

mines was a chrysler lease car, it had 5600 miles on it, carfax was clean, like any car that had a owner, there were a few things wrong with the interior, very minor. Everytime i get in and out of the car, i have a smile on my face, thats all that matters. I got mine for a steal

looks like the only way to get a hail damage title is if it's enough damage to total out the car.

CARFAX does like to scare people into buying a report though. It worked on me. When I ran one on mine it said there are 15 reports. When I viewed it there were 15 reports alright - all of them were marked as "passed". I like the concept but I think they should be a bit more specific when it finds a report, i.e. a fraud was detected.

definitely.

part of the reason I bought a membership is that I've been looking at lots of used cars, so for $25, it's a good deal spread out over a ton of cars.

As I was washing my Crossfire for the first time after I got it home it dawned on me that any car I buy in the future I'm going to wash before I buy it. This way you REALLY go over every inch of the car with your hands and get to see and feel all the dings, missing trim, dents, flaws, etc. that you miss just eyeballing it. You're so excited to buy the car that your eyes don't see the flaws until you get it home and wash it.

a good idea... could be a bit difficult explaining to the owner why you want to give him a nice car wash though.
