Engine Missing (dead spot)??
I am the owner of a brand new SRT6 roadster with a little less than 400 miles on it. The car seems to be missing or cutting out in 1st gear when the RPM's are between 1,000 - 2,500. Has anybody had this issue?
Try this thread ~ https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tercooler+pump
(I have no idea though, just throwing ideas on there)

Thanks for the link, but there is nothing there like I am talking about. It has plenty of power, it just cuts out or misses for a second and then its back running strong. Anybody else have any ideas??
when this occurs, the supercharger is just overheating and it needs to cool down, so don't give the car a lot of gas when you notice this. give it a few minutes to cool down and your good, or just put your car in neutral for 20 seconds or turn the car off then back on that worked for me.
have you tried the throttle reset trick?

On my thread only the 1st and last page really explain what I was experiencing and the outcome.

Mine has this miss in the morning when I first start it and try to move forward. The car hesitates a bit almost like it wants to stall, but then after it warms up its fine. Any ideas to what that could be?? Just cold maybe? Hmm...Never had a newer car do this.
I have not tried the throttle reset trick yet. When I have a minute this weekend, I will try it. Can't hurt.
I will also read the MB forum when I have a chance.
This car also sputters a bit when you first take off in it, but when it warms up that goes away. Just seems like it is cold blooded. But the cut-out or hesitation between 1,000 - 2,500 RPM's does not go away after warmed up.
Thanks for your help so far.

You can read through my experience here. Here is a thread from an MB forum where they are saying that if you are experiencing a rough engagement that the clutch needs to be replaced. Now that I have found out this info I want to take mine back in and tell them what I have found.

I have the same thing as distantpulse...I posted a thread on it a couple weeks ago...the car hesitates and seems like it is going to stall the first time I accelerate after a cold start...once I accelerate 2 or 3 times there is no more hesitation...the car is at the Chrysler dealership as we speak...I'm starting to wonder if this is just another quirk with these cars...

I assume this is normal. My 15,000 mile car does it too. I think it actually has to do with the Drive-by wire throttle. I reset the throttle memory and it went a way for about a hour, then came back. I wonder if the Sprint Booster would fix this. It could also be the SC Clutch I guess, but I've never heard any kind of chirp associated with it. I know it only does it under light throttle input. If you give a fair amount of go pedal, it doesn't do it.

Hey guys, I can attest to having this same "tug" feeling in manual mode. First gear at 2,900 RPM every time. A friend of mine is getting his SRT-6 (30 miles on it) at the end of this week. It will be interesting to see if his has the same issue.
When my supercharger clutch was failing/failed I did not notice any chirp or surge. Then again there are times I wouldn't even notice Hooter Girls performing a dance act on the hood of my car. My supercharger clutch failed at around 8,000 miles.
