Default How Many Of You?

How many of you guy's changed your oil at around 2,000 miles instead of waiting till the car told you it needed changed at probably around 7,000. When I leased my '04 coupe I took it in to have it changed at 2,000 miles and I've done the same with my new GMC 4X4 truck. The Chrysler dealership had questioned me about changing it at 2,000 and I told them I always changed the oil at 2,000 miles on a new vehicle, that in my opinion there's got to be some traces of metal or other contaminants in the oil from the engine breaking in. My SRT6 only has 1,552 miles on it and I'm considering getting the oil changed at 2,000 and just figured I'd ask this question to get other peoples opinion on this matter to see if anyone else agrees with what I think. Also does anybody have an opinion on the oil in the supercharger, I know I have read something in the owners manual about the supercharger oil, but I don't remember what it said about it?

I got my 1st oil change done at 2,000 miles. There are previous posts with pics of metal shavings around the oil filter. I guess its best to be conservative on the 1st oil change. After that follow the intervals indicated by the FSS, IMO.
