SRT-6 suspension

I bought this car for my wife and she is already complaining about the choppy ride. I think it's great. Any suspension mod's I can do to achieve a happy compromise here?

Not likely. The SRT6 is a stiffer ride... period.

If you want to go backwards to the Limited or Base suspension sway bars and shocks/struts and springs, be my guest. Be warned... you WILL hate it.

My wife actually has no problem with the ride in our SRT6. She actually likes the stiffer ride (pun intended).

Youch . . . swap for a non-SRT suspension perhaps.
Someone on the forum may be willing to switch - not sure though.

Naw...she can drive the Audi. I kept it cause I couldn't get a decent trade allowance.

The SRT6 is really not meant for comfort. Its a high performance car with a short wheelbase. The suspension has to be a little stiff to accommodate for the power and handling.

I have a set of stock Crossfire springs ! Best offer like new under 5,000 miles. Or straight trade.

I installed a Eibach Pro Spring Kit on mine this past weekend and I ain't ever seen so many bars & links connected to an inner hub. And BTW, the rear of the car only dropped maybe 1/4", front dropped 1".

I read were someone had them installed and it took a couple weeks and about 500 miles for it to settle to about an inch. I stacked 6 concrete blocks in the back to see if that would help speed up the process, that dropped it about an inch.

I called Eibach about an hour ago, but the tech-know-wiz guy was out to lunch, I'm going to call them back shortly.

The Eibach tech guy said that the spring will not settle, it's going to drop to where it is and stay. I asked him about waiting period for having alignment checked and he said you can get it done right after the install.

For AMGlover - do you have part numbers for the two types of rear springs? My local dealer tells me they only show ONE type of rear spring for a Crossfire - they claim that their parts book doesn't differentiate between SRT 6 and regular Crossfire - same spring fits both. I would like to get a set of softer rear springs for my SRT 6, but my dealer now has me entirely confused.

Bought mine expecting to convert with stock springs and shocks as the enthusiasts reviews always complained about the stiff ride. And it is stiff - more so than even earlier 911's I've owned.

The swap was painless (except for total cost installed of $800). But I love it now and believe me it still goes thru the twisties like it was on rails. It's now perfect as far as I'm concerned.

TedFitz: Is there a chance you could look at the invoice and tell us the part numbers that were used? I would like to order the springs and shocks, but without part numbers my dealer is not able to do this. Help please??

Daniel:

I have not had a chance to do much research on this. I assume that the standard '04 springs will soften the ride a wee bit. Did you replace the front and back and was it an *** whip to remove and reinstall. Call me, after 7:00 CST if you want to talk about selling them.
