Never had to use it yet. Just like the peace knowing it's there.

I'm an old guy and got my first car at 14. Never in all my years of driving have I had a blow out....

Until, that is, 89 miles after buying my Crossfire. During the three hour wait for a wrecker, the over night stay in the motel to have a tire shipped in and on the ride home the next day I kept thinking how the little blow up spares that came in the AMX's (which I never had to use) sure would have saved me some time and money.

Thanks for this information. You have provided my next project.

Is it correct that the 155/70/17 will clear everything on the SRT-6?

I am not understanding exactly what model is referred to here.

Can anyone answer if the is a spare that will fit an SRT6 in ft, in bk and fit in a roaster trunk and what cars offered them?

Any help appreciated.

I should have added "not if you ever intend to put the top down"
You MIGHT be able to shoehorn something really tiny in if the divider is undone.

This MIGHT work :
Genuine Mercedes Benz Space Saver Spare Tire 2005 2011 SLK Class Never Used | eBay
( has "make offer" button )

A quick FYI for anyone subscribed to this thread.
You need new bolts if using a steel wheel spare!

I have an 04 chrysler crossfire, can I just buy an 18" wheel and use for a spare, since 18" tires can go on the front and the back?
