How much should I pay for my color of choice
Hi All,
New to the forum, and really enjoying the great information and insight. Well, I have loved the Crossfire since its debut in the autoshow circuit, and its surprisingly uncompromised introduction as a production design. I guess thats the reason its look is so polarizing...all I know is its great to get AMG performance, great looks and build quality in the 20's for a new car. I am going to buy a '05, and have a choice of black for 25.5 or aeroblue for 23.4. Both are zero miles and well, I am leaning to the black. Love the look, love the resale (if I ever get rid of it)
Any advice???

If everything else is equal (mileage [you say both are zero]; model [coupe or roadster]; warranty; tires; nav; history; interior color, etc.), then why not go with the aero blue, save $2,100, and get a color that is more unusual and easier to keep clean? And I'll bet you won't have any trouble finding something else fun to do with the two large.
Hmmm...I didn't know Aero Blue is a rare color since I can see a lot of them here in my area and there are less black Crossfires!
How many Aero Blues are made anyway?

Of the new 2005 SRT-6's on the market right now, Black is the most available color. I paid $24,200 for mine (Black). I got the 7 year 85k mile warrantee and was out the door for $25,600. You can do better than I did now that the dealer auction prices are known. There are lots of cars available. Good Luck!
Man, get the blue one. I am also going to buy one here pretty soon. Black is my favorite color, that blue is my least favorite. But i'd still take the blue one Hands down if all is equal.
The blue still looks good and will not show 1 tenth of the scratches.
I like the black because it shows off the stainless steel most. all the colors are pretty nice though.

Hey thanks for all the advice. I think you are right, 2K is too much for vanity. Both of these are new '05 coupes, so I went back to the guy selling black and said the color only worth 1k to me. I will let you know how it goes. Anyone know if the Renntech pulley/ECM kit can be had for less than the $3,295 they charge for the SLK32 - also, would this invalidate warranty???
