I knew about this when I purchased my Crossfire. When I asked about it the dealership informed me that since I was the second owner that the track day was not offered. I purchased the car with just over 100 miles on it but the dealership had bought the car at auction, so I became the second owner. I think many of the new Crossfire owners will have the same issue. I will look into it further. Thanks.

Per the site, only build dates after 4/1/05 are eligible for free... not sure how many SRT-6 were built after that.

I missed even a chance by 2 months.

All of the auction cars were titled by the dealerships who purchased them, this is the reason that the warrantees started before our purchase. I entered my vin# at the SRT track site and was directed to the payment option. I called the provided number and was told that someone would get back to me in a few days with an answer. I will post what I get back from the SRT site manager. It was worth a try! Thanks.

All,

Just to let you know, this course is not free. The price of the course was built into the price of cars built after 4/1/05. Mine was built prior to this date so I simply paid $350 for the day at the track. I went to the one at Daytona and it was worth every dollar.

The Track Experience is now $500.

If credit card info is requested during registration then you will be charged for the event. And don't count on a rep telling you this. My car did not qualify for the event but I did not know this when I registered and had to provide credit card info. When I called a rep for clarification I was only told that my VIN probably had not been entered into their system yet. I was, however, successful in disputing the charge to my credit card but I doubt the TE will let this happen again (one of my arguments was that the TE website and registration page was unclear or inaccurate as to who was eligible to attend for free, the statements in question have now been changed).

Another member pointed out to me that if your car qualifies for the TE, then it will state so on the window sticker.

The event was a hoot and a half to attend, just not sure if it is worth $500 though.

Yep price went up, was $300 when i went. Used to be ran by Skip Barber. Guess that's why they call it "new srt track experience". Drifting event is also new... pretty cool

I wonder what car they will have for the "thrill ride"?

Definitely a fun event...

I received this when I put in my VIN, does this mean I'm not qualified?

If you are receiving this message, you will be asked for credit card information and possibly charged.
The SRT Track Experience is included in the price of any SRT vehicle built after 4/1/05, but newly purchased VINs may not yet be in our system. Please contact us at 1-800-998-1110 and we will be happy to help you complete the registration process.

The credit card message means they don't have your VIN in their database as being eligible - is your build date after 4/1/05?

What is it? 1 day of playing at a race track with SRT cars provided by Chrysler doing 6 modules where owners are supervised and instructed by Richard Petty experience instructors.
My Magnum qualified, but my CF didn't due to build date, we got the luggage. BUT, I took the wife along to the Barber event last year and asked if she could have my pass, and I would just watch. The guy giving out the bands said, If you own 2 SRT's I'm throwing in the second band, you both drive. It was a great event, and @ the end we got a thrill ride in a Viper flat out around the 2 mile with a Barber driver. Good thing it was way after lunch time.
This year Petty didn't even have an event within 500 miles of us, I was gonna pay the $500 but we got snubbed in the midwest.

I'm not sure, but I think if I remember correctly I seen '04 on the door tag. So if it is before 4/1/05 it's not qualified?

According to their site that is correct, but I'm just quoting their site info.

Me too - here is the link and the text:

" If you are an SRT owner whose vehicle was built AFTER April 1, 2005, you will not be required to enter credit card information for yourself. The Track Experience cost is included in the cost of your car (U.S. spec vehicles only). This offer is good for one owner per VIN . However, if you are registering either a driving or non-driving guest, credit card information will be required for their registrations.
If you are an SRT owner whose vehicle was built BEFORE April 1, 2005, you will be required to enter credit card information for yourself and any guests you register. "

I was wondering if they had a speed limit that you could not exceed, I would love to see what my top speed of my SRT6 is. I've had it to 172 mph out on an open highway when there was nobody else in sight. Right after I bought my SRT6 I had asked my friend, (Chrysler salesman) about the SRT track experience and he said Chrysler had quit doing that, so I didn't look into it any farther.

you are not allowed to drive your own car...

if you want to test your car and go flat out legally and safely (ie. no cars, people will get in your way), you can look into Nevada's Silver State Classic. I've been wanting to try this ever since i got my car, but other stuffs been getting in the way.
