Default New SRT6 owner

Hi everyone. I just purchased an 2005 crossfire SRT6 a few weeks ago and I must say it is an awesome car. Looks good and super power (as I am sure all of you know). However, about 1.5 weeks ago the windows stopped working (both of them). When I press the window button, I hear "clicking" noises. So I take it to the dealer and he tells me that the BCU needs to be replaced. Well, as it is under warranty, it was all for free and the windows started working again. However, this morning, I got the same issue. The windows stopped working again and I hear the "click" noise.
Has anyone experienced this before or know anything about this situation? I highly doubt that the BCU stopped working again (after 1.5 weeks). Any help on this greatly appreciated.

By the way, excellent forum and very happy to be a member!!!

Have not had that issue and can't recall someone who has.

Anyway, congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum.

Coupe/Roadster?
Color?
Where are you located?

Thanks RPM. Appreciate the reply. It is a dark silver coupe (not sure if this is the correct color description). I am located in MN. Looking forward to see how it performs in the minnesota winter or if I need a second car.

Welcome to the forum...but you might want to get another car with all that money you saved buying the XFire.

Thanks for messages everyone. The car is going for service on Monday for the windows and for an oil change. Also today, on my way home on the highway, I wanted to overtake someone while going 60 and I depress the pedal, but even though the RPM went up, the car was hardly moving!! My previous 180 HP TT would beat that!! Adding the sluggish acceleration to the service list!! I hope all these can be fixed quickly so that I can enjoy the car! It has been in the shop most of the time since I bought it!

Just got the car back from the dealer today. The windows were not working because there was a cut wire and so it blew the fuse. So he fixed the wire and replaced the fuse. As for the sluggish acceleration, I get the standard "no issues found" response. On my way out of the dealer it did it again but there is no consistency with the sluggish acceleration. I will keep driving it until I figure it out. At least I have my baby back!!!

I have a N/A roadster, but as far as the acceleration. I believe many have had this problem and its the supercharger. TSB if I am correct. Someone help this man if you have a SRT.

I found it!! https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...t=supercharger

Hey Crazyforcars,

My odometer just flipped over the 2,000 mile mark - I am also in MN. Where did you bring your car for service? I almost bought my car from Brooklyn Center Chrysler, but the salesman wouldn't budge. Drove to Ohio to get my car instead.

Welcome to the site!
