Got ripped off?
Man, after reading all the deals on here, seems like I got ripped off!
Not really though. The price was actually lower than most in the area.
I paid $23,990 for a car with 10,700 miles on the clock with the 8/80 warranty. Thought it was a good deal until I read some of the posts on here. I don't know how some of these dealers are selling these cars for under 24 grand. New at that.
Still feel I got a great deal on a car that at one time was priced at 45 grand.

Although I paid a bit less for my "new" '05 I didn't get the 8/80. So we might be about even.
If you look at Cars.com you'll find that the prices are all over the place; $47K to $22K for cars with under 12k miles. Maybe it's regional? I had to fly from one end of the country to the next to get mine, sight unseen.

Yeah, the prices in the local area are all about the same. Should be lower though because this is New England after all. Trust me, I am happy! I wanted the car when it first came out. Glad I didn't shell out that kind of money. Anything under 30 is a good deal for a 45k dollar car.
Well, you did get the 8/80K warranty. I'll make you feel better - I bought mine in Jan '06 and did not pay MSRP. In fact, with sales tax, lic and reg, I still paid under MSRP. But not by much. Had I only known...
for a SRT-6 ? thats still a good deal... no worries... there are some rather strange cases where people get them for less but the car is worth more than what you paid when you consider the quality and performance. people paid that much for the new civic SI when they first got released, now thats getting ripped off and liking it.

Why do you ask?
To the other comments. Yes, it was a good deal. The thread was just a bit of sarcasm directed toward the ridiculous prices of some of the deals posted on here. I mean, this is a 45k dollar car being sold at under 27 grand! Some people aren't even considering a purchase unless they get one for under 23 grand.

bought mine new (8 miles) in Oct. 2004, and though I paid over $40k,
I've had nearly 3 years of driving pleasure. And I'll tell you, I've had far more
than 10k worth of fun over each year. So, who bought at the right time?
While others have been drooling, I've been toolin'!

I bought my SRT6 in Oct. of '06 "new", the dealership was having a big one week sale. Their asking price was $29,995 down from the sale price of $34,500, I was driving an '04 leased coupe at the time. I told them if they could get me out of my lease I would buy the SRT6. They said they could not get me out of the lease, but they would pay for half of what I still owed on it. They wrote me a check for $3,500 and I bought the SRT6, so I ended up getting the car for $26,495 before taxes. I thought it was a hell of a deal, but I used their $3,500 check to pay off an '06 Kawasaki 4X4 610 mule that I had recently bought.
ripped off? what a crazy thing you got a $50k car for half the price... if these cars were still prices above $40k I would still buy one and never for a second feel I was ripped off...
Wow, you got ripped off!!! I only paid eleven dollars and 23 cents for an '05 with 38 miles.
These vehicles are worth exactly what you paid when you bought it. There will always be stories of the one that sold for less. I paid 28,000 for my roadster and don't care if anyone gets a better deal. Thats what it was worth to me, and now I love every moment of driving it.

I agree that the car has to be worth what you paid for it. Otherwise, why sign the invoice. Sarcasm...understood. And yeah, there will always be stories about who paid less. (clowns).
I bought my SRT6 and had to fly back from Iraq 3 days later! I can't wait to get back to put some miles on that beauty!
