I want an SRT-6 Roadster
Hello all,
I would like to trade in my 2004 Black Coupe for a 2005 SRT-6 Roadster; if anyone wants to tell me where or what to bite on, I don't care, anywhere in the USA. I think my car is worth ~ 15K right now and that is going down if the regulars that post to this forum are right. Looking for an SRT-6 Roadster, in a lighter color than Black...

I purchased mine from the same dealer for $25.6K but with less then 100 miles on the clock and new warranty.
Looks like a good deal on eBay, I'm picking the exact same car (color, everything) at Bonham Chrysler (Texas) next week. I'm paying $28,985 with 11,900 miles, but the service date is 11/20/06 so I have 6 more months on the warranty and it also has the NAV option. Heard NAV is not great but perhaps it will add to the value someday. Boy, after the recent Chrysler auction these cars are dropping like rocks. Almost fell like letting them keep the $500 deposit and waiting awhile.
I bought my coupe from Bonham a little over a year ago. Interesting, their prices on new SRTs has actually gone up $1,000 since a couple of weeks ago when I last checked (From $32,999 to $33,999 for new convertibles).
Looks like in addition to several new ones they also have three or four used SRT roadsters starting at $27,999 (22K miles) - they deal some, so you could probably get a grand or two off their listed prices for either new or used.

Well, at the time they had the best price around (they were about $2,500 lower than the best deal I could get from the local dealers here in Austin). I did the entire deal over the phone, the sales guy was ok, seemed honest enough - they didn’t tack on any screwy fees and gave me an OTD price with no hassle (a little back and forth, but that is to be expected, he went from his “no haggle internet special price”, to $1,000 off of it).
I flew into Dallas and they had a guy waiting for me at the airport. He drove me to the dealer (about 80 miles away). It is a GIGANTIC dirt lot in the middle of nowhere with a couple of trailers on it (one for sales, another for finance). The car was ready, clean, and pulled to the front. The salesman met me, gave me the keys and told me to take it for a drive (he didn’t come along). I took it for a short test drive, got back and we did the paperwork - there was no walkthrough by the salesman of the car, or explanation of any features which was ok with me as I had done the research and knew what I was getting.
I was at the dealer for less than an hour total - half of that time spent waiting for the finance people and telling them over and over that I did not want their financing (already had it through my CU).
The only negative parts: gas tank was not full (maybe half), they did *not* do the TSB’s, and as I mentioned, the finance guys were pushy as hell - they were really trying to get me to use their financing. If it wasn’t for the 20 minute wait for them (I went on a Saturday - lot of buyers there), then 10 minutes of telling them no thanks to their offers, I could have been at the dealer less than 30 minutes total. Now they didn’t try to change the agreed on price, or do the “talk with my manager” thing (no one ever brought up any sort of manger) they just really wanted me to use their financing).
I’d use them again.
