Greg,
Good Luck in your search, bet you will be driving one in less than 30 Days.
Looks like most everyone on this Forum without an SRT6 is looking to upgrade Now, with these Great Low/No miles SRT6 prices currently before they are All gone. (For Good)

Bill

(A very happy New SRT6 owner)
PS - May want to consider one of the "New" 2005 Coupes with Full warranty at Tarpon Springs Dodge (ask for Lisa), FL, for under $25,000; hard to beat?

Bill,

I may look into that. I had what I thought was a deal going but it fell through last friday. It may be better for me to spend a couple of extra $ and get a new one. I'll contact "Lisa" and see what can be done.

jsiegel,

I sent a message a week ago to todj64 but never heard from him. Maybe he sold all of them. Thanks for the info though.

The power, styling, and price, I don't know how anyone wouldn't jump at the SRT. Seems like a slam-dunk winner to me.

Greg,

There is a dealer in far northeast TX with several cars for sale. PM me if you may be interested although it is a little further than your preference. If so, and I end up going there this weekend as planned, I will take some pics and inspect a few for you if they have the color combo you want.

They only have a few roadsters (with ~ 10k miles - 20k miles), but a TON of Coupes.

And, for the record, Lisa isn't able to do the 8/80K Certified Chrysler warranty because she isn't a Chrysler dealer. She was quite helpful if the Certified warranty isn't an issue to you. I prefer to have it...although I'm sure the aftermarket ones are just as good.

Let me know,
SQ

Liccardi in Green Brook New Jersey has three new ones right now. They are priced at about 31k.

Ebay has had several pretty good new SRT6s for around $25K Buy-it-Now. Get the ones you are interested in onto your Ebay WatchList.

I know of that dealer. Problem is 31k is about 6k to much to even start the negotiating process based on what they are selling for in other places. I'm afraid some of these dealers will not go as far as I'll want to go.

I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to buying something that important and expensive on ebay. Just not that 21st century yet.

I purchased my 2004 when they first went on sale in 2003 and paid full price. I know it was way more than several months later but I wanted it, am not sorry, and would do it over again. That's how much I like the coupe. I'm not averse to paying but at this time I'm going to cost average my purchases.

Punkin maybe Tod is out of town or something I bought an SRT from Tom Ahl last weekend and he was the salesman I was dealing with, great guy to do business with. When I was there they still had a Saphire blue SRT, which was looking good, maybe they sold it but I would imagine if Tod got your message he would reply whether they had any SRT's left or not, he just seems like that kind of guy. Give him a little more time or give him another shout and see what happens, you can try to call him also, he posted his cell number on here somewhere, do a search you'll find it.

I was watching that car as well.

Unfortunately, the salesman won't give you a VIP report, and there is no way for me to tell if it was an SRT Track Experience car without being there to look at it.

I'd rather not buy one sight unseen if I don't know whether or not it was a track car.

Good price though!

WOW, that is a great price for that car with that many miles. Although, I would be interested to know if it's a Track car. The miles fit the bill for one.

As far as the VIP report, I'm not surprised he won't give it to you, as he isn't supposed to. I would INSIST on it however. Ask him for it again, and tell him to either OMIT or BLACK OUT the previous owner's information, that it is none of your concern. Tell him you are only interested in seeing the cars Option Report, Warranty Summary, and Service Summary, that's all you really need. If he won't give you that, then simply accuse him of having something to hide. Explain to him that you are a long way from the car and cannot inspect it personally, and that you will not buy a car sight unseen without this information. Obviously, get a Carfax if you haven’t already.

If you have a relationship with a Local (to you) Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep dealer, ask you service advisor to pull the VIP for you...

I would do it myself, but I'm no longer working for a dealer.

My crossfire family,

The search is over! I drove home tonight with my "new" 2005 Black SRT6 with 4.5k miles on it. So I will not be suspect of lowering the price, I will say I got a great deal or I'm hopping around the house without an arm and a leg.

Can't wait for the start of the annual Dragon run.

Congrats, and well done!

Looks like several of us who have been around since the beginning (and probably paid too much for our '04's) have moved up to SRT6's. I see that as a vote of confidence in the car (if not in Chrysler). It's a winner, at any reasonable price.

Talking Re: Looking to buy SRT6

Maxxm,

Yeah, I overpaid in 2003 but this really evens my playing field. We kept the 2004 SSB coupe so we are a 2xfire family. I can't complain one bit with the drivability or reliability of this car.

I noticed you DE-badged and then Re-badged. What was the reason? I was seriously thinking of debadging but maybe you have other thoughts for me?

p.s. This car is quite the runner!!! It's night and day with the standard model. WOW!

I debadged to get rid of all of the visible Chrysler logos (including the emblems on the back) and then rebadged as a "Crossfire" with andrew's decals and also by relocating three OEM SRT6 emblems (SRT-SIX's "supercharged" emblems would work just as well). In reality, the Crossfire SRT6 is in fact very, very different from any other Chrysler, so it might as well look and read that way too. Most people don't have a clue what it is, but they like it. Hope this explanation helps.
