What would win in a drag race? I have a buddy who has one. He wanted to go with my SRT-8. I took him off the line at a light and he couldn't catch me up to about 70 mph. Now, that I got the Crossfire, he wants another shot at me. Anyone race one?

it would definitely be a good race, not gonna say you should have no problem beating him cuz he will definitely hold his own. but in theory, you should win.

 

I beat one the other week. Up to about 60 MPH. I think it was an automatic. Oh, and it was a Sedan, not a coupe. I've also beaten a 6-Speed M3 (barely).

 

8 > 6 > 3, but that's just math. (SRT8 > SRT6 > BMW-3 series, short of M3)

It would be a close race dependent on driver, shifts, tires, etc.

Go on a roadcourse to test the handling, not just the speed. Use the same driver and same tires. Best way to compare car-to-car.

SRT 6 all the way. If your SRT8 beat him the 6 will beat him as well. I beat two SRT 8's two weekends ago at the dragway. I ran 12.87-12.92-12.94 to their best of 13.35.

Is the BMW 335i a M series or has a lot of dinan after market work done? A stock 335i has no prayer of beating you otherwise.

My SRT-6 beated 335i conv, Lancer evolution 8 MR, MB CL550, Cayenne turbo, Z4 3.0 si, etc...
And was beaten by TTP tuned 996 turbo (590 HP).

That's about it. Yes I see alot of exotics around here. I like the fact that the SRT-6 looks at home parked next to a Lambo or Ferrari.
