See ya...
Solstice would have been my first choice in a roadster if the Crossfire wasn't around.
You have a '87 Fiero GT? I drove one for 10 years. Those were fun cars too.

I drove the GXP and wasn't very impressed. I like the looks of it, but I'm not much of a fan of roadsters either. I prefer coupes.
I will say though, that the LS1 conversion that the dealer had was SWEET. That v8 was crammed into the solstice but it was nice and professional looking! Now THAT car, I would trade.
Congrats on your new ride!

It's been short but sweet.

I do have a question. What kind of manual 5-speed transmission do you have in your V8 Fiero?
Hmmm. I looked at the GXPs and the Red Lines.
CONS (IMO)
That ragtop is horrendous, and lots of folks are having lots of problems with them.
No trunk space.
If I go to pick up a pizza, I pass ~ 10 of Solstices or Skys (though ~ 1/2 of them are turbos) and no Crossfires (especially no SRT6s).
PROS (IMO)
Lots of mods available.
All Pontiac/Saturn dealers should be able to work on them.
Nice looking. I much prefer the Sky to the Solstice, but that's just me.
They sound good (exhaust).
At current prices, the SRT6 Roadster is cheaper or the same price as a GXP/Red Line, has at least 70 more hp (or 89 - depending on if you believe MB or Chrysler), 50 more ft lbs of torque (or 72 - "__"), and is a VERY low production vehicle.
Yeah, it only comes in auto, but it is one of the best auto trannys in the biz.
To each their own.
Enjoy the new ride.

Never in a million years would i trade the SRT6 for the GXP! Two totally different levels of automobiles, but hey...GOOD LUCK with it! Have fun and enjoy it as that is what really matters in the end. As long as you like it, nothing else matters!
