Talking Greetings - I just got a SRT6 & love it !!

I brought home my new (to me; 12K miles) SRT6 coupe, and I love it.
I am really impressed with the performance, engineering and features.
Lots of fun twisty roads here in the mountains of Western NC.
Are there any other SRT6 owners in the Asheville, NC area?

I am looking to start with a few basic mods such as K&N filters, rotex gold pads.
Next I will probably go with taking off the resonator and adding a Sprint Booster.

Where would be the best place to order the SB? The best I an find online is $280 + $20 shipping from the Parts Exporter Store in Hong Kong, but they currently show none available (had 4 two days ago).

Any thoughts on removing the resonator? I like the idea of losing weight and getting a better exhaust note, but do not want to be so loud as to draw police attention.
Also, does removing the resonator boost HP? Any problems with decreased back pressure?

Are there any other inexpensive mods that you would recommend? I will probably do a pulley and ECU upgrade eventually, but not for a while.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Have fun & drive safe.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum.
What color did you get?

I'll try to answer some of your questions:
SB - Parts Exporter on eBay seems to be the way to go at the moment.
Resonator - From what I read, it is not a whole lot louder, but does sound 'better.' It should give a little more power (I would guess). It is a very common mod among the C32 and SLK32 crowd and I've heard of no issues yet.
You may want to wait on the K&Ns and wait on NeedsWings new intake (it is posted in the SRT6 section).
I recommend the Rotex Golds.
Inexpensive mods? Not much for this car. Most items are fairly big $.

Good luck.

Welcome. Congratulations on a great automotive purchase. Your feel good feeling will only grow over time. I'm still just as excited about my SRT6 as I was the day I bought it.

This is where most of us have got the sprint booster. I actually sent them an email offering then only $250 and they responded that they would sell it to me for $270 and waive the shipping charges. So I bought it for a total of $270 total shipped. Got it in 5 days.

Welcome. My advise would be to keep the mods minimal, tasteful, and simple. i wouldn't do the exhaust mod. This is a rare vehicle, the more unmolested, the better. Also, it shouldn't sound like a motor boat. At one time it was a 47k dollar car. If you want a nice exhaust go with a complete system that has been designed to sound good. Keep your original one too since, again, these cars are rare.

Welcome, I just brought one too, the coup srt-6 on eBay a couple of weeks ago. I will be driving the car back sometime next week from Erie, PA. to Texas. I'm going to take all the scenic drives back. I have been doing a lot of research on the Internet and at book stores, on which scenic routes to take. There are some great ones in Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas. Have them all mapped on my laptop with GPS., should be a blast.

Congrats to all the new SRT6 owners... For performance modifications, I have only changed the brakes, pads, brake fluid, rims and tires on mine... and it's great! I love the fact that I can hear the engine and NOT the exhaust when I have the hammer down!

Welcome to the forums... the rest is below...
