Default wheel blemishes

Does anyone else have this problem with the wheels, the clearcoat or layer on the rims is forming spots. Looks like the water spots. If anyone has this problem with the wheels on their srt did the warranty cover it? I know its just nit picking but its a dumb problem to have and i'm picky. Thanks in advance.

How are you cleaning them? Some wheel cleaners are very harsh and could be causing an issue. Just a thought.

You might be able to get it covered, we've claimed wheels before for customers and haven't had too many problems. These are SRT-6 wheels right? Have you tries using a cleaner wax? I would recommend using Zymol. Does a very good job of removing light spots and blending on paint. Also THE BEST WAX I've ever used. (But you have to do all the steps and follow the directions exact).

I had my front rim replaced because of the finish bubbling up. It appeared that the paint and clear coat was applied with moisture under it. No problem replacing the rim at my Chrysler dealer.

I have tried to get mine replaced at three different dealers all the same set up took pictures and no go chrysler is not covering the crossfires of the 300c's anymore... Looks like they sent out a tsb on acids ruining the rims to cover there own azz its lame as hell if you ask me i have used nothing but car soup and water... I'm thinking about having them bead blasted and polished or painted to match the car...

I have the same issue. Especially right around where the center cap is. Unfortunately, the previous owner curbed the crap out of two of them and they won't cover them for the spot. I guess they think I'm trying to get new wheels cause they're curbed. Oh well. I found a supplier that sells OEM refinished wheels for less than $200 each. I'll get around to it.

I AM NOT HAPPY. Kidding I am glade you were able to work it out. My brother works for park jeep/chrysler and I think that might be my last option IT would be nice to have new wheels at the same time part of me says bead blast them and paint to match with a polished lip. There is something about that SL65 look that I can't get over and I think the srt6 rims would look even better... What do you guys think ?

Kings Chrysler in Cincinnati just got all 4 of my SRT rims and center caps replaced under warranty too. Had small blemishes at edges of spokes and at center cap edge. Almost looked like corrosion, very thin spider lines, but under the clearcoat (couldn't feel the blemishes). Didn't take any pictures before I took it in though.

They've also been great for replacing my discolored headlight covers, door speaker (creaking plastic noise) and front fender trim (faded/orange peel paint) all under warranty. Currently checking the IC pump for intermittent failure and looking into the infamous door lower weather stripping rust problem for warranty repair. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Update, Chrysler is now Replacing rims again no questions asked, They said they were getting too many complaints with the 300s and Crossfires, As far as I was told you can go in an just have them replaced where as before it was the whole picture routine, I guess I will keep my fingers crossed when I take mine in tomorrow.

my wheels had similar "corrosion" look, but did not look anywhere near as bad as the wheel it the link above. You could hardly see mine and had to get real close, but since mine was going in for the IC pump and lower door weatherstrip rust, I thought I'd ask and they replaced them! IC pump should be in on Wed and they claim to have fixed the rust too! Not sure yet what they did for the rust since I haven't talked to the service guy yet.
