Default Had some goat for lunch yesterday...

Had a black GTO pacing me on 64 today in West Chicano right near the same spot I got a drag racing ticket a month ago. Just got done paying $1,500 to get the ticket dropped and am now on supervision so I am not in the "mood" for much street racing nowadays.

This guy just wouldn't stop pacing and hitting it so I said screw it and waited patiently until we got near the Diamonds light at powis and 64. The light turned green and we both hit it at the same time and I immediatly put a bus length on him by the time I hit 60 at which point he knew this wasn't your run of the mill crossfire.

We get to the light in front of Charlestowne mall and I rolled my window down at which point he said " i didn't see the srt emblem back there and was like WTF when you left me back there" I then told him I had pulley's and what not and gave him the jump when the light turned green. I again flew by him like he was standing still and he gave me the thumbs up at the next light and turned off.

BTW this was one of the few cool GTO guys out there...most of them cannot handle a loss very well especially of this magnitude.

Goats truly do taste like chicken, especially the LS1's...

That's nothing. Here in the Communist Wealth of Virginia, a drag racing conviction can get your car siezed (permanently) 30 days in jail, 5 year license Revocation and a $10,000 fine! If you get caught here in VA you best put the hammer down and at least make them work for it. Hell, anything over 80 (even on the interstate) can get you 5 days in jail and a $2,500 fine and 6 month suspension.

I know if I have open road in front of me, I'm gonna go for it. Not even the new Chargers can catch up, so catch me if you can... They don't have very many helicopters here, and the cops are spread way out. I'm sure I can ditch off and lose them before they could radio ahead 20 miles...

Try runnin here like that and you will be in trouble...Coast Guard is on call for the suburbs of chicago...18 minutes and they can be on stand by in A-town!
Try running from a copter with a computer that will tag your heat trace!
Even if you out run it will catch up and pick you out of a parking lot of running cars.

One time standing in a drive way in A-town drinking beers with a few buddies...this guy bursts through the bushes knocks down a buddy and keeps runnin out the back yard 1 second later ya hear it next the wind hits ya next the driveway lights up next the copter flys right over ya...they had the guy on the next block.

One of the buddies I was with has a badge he calls in and finds out the guy dumped his car 4 blocks away and was running for it the copter had tagged him with heat vision as they were flying in and dropped down right over us to follow him they lit him up on the next street and the patrol cars had him.

Last thing I am doing is running...that went out in the 80's.

Can't do the time... don't do the crime...don't do it.

Nice kill on the goat!!

Have one in my neighborhood...won't talk or look at ya when ya drive by him.

Nice "kill" on the Goat!
Yup, tastes just like chicken, just like that Raw Rattlesnake in USMC Survival training, remember?

BTW Have you made that call to Frank?

My Best!

yeah right, you can't outrun motorola! and I'm sure your the only crossfire with in a 10 mile radius, bottom line is they will catch your ***.

if that's your plan, better buy some camo netting and a survial kit, so you can hide out in the woods for a couple days.

Well, I'm not one to disagree with technology. I would never stand a chance against a chopper obviously. But when you roll by the trooper in the middle of the night and you doing 140 MPH and he's standing still, there is no way he could get a description of the car or catch up. Maybe I just got lucky... It's not somethhing I do on a regular basis...

I did it one time and I was out of his sight and around an off ramp going back in the other direction almost a 1/4 mile before he went by the way I had just come from...

I think I got it out of my system. I had to fabreeze the seat twice to get the smell out...

Don't try that at home kids!

The SRT will make you a Vulture - even more so when modded.

You end up feasting on "Road Kill".

Awesome Kill! Stock these cars move, but add a pulley and a cai and they really scream! I love it.

Yea the new laws in VA, suck! There are at least 3 municipalities that have challenged them (they did not adopt the July1 law changes) The punishment does not fit the crime, ie being to severe. I agree totally. Hopefully they will do away with them. I know that there is an online petition going as well trying to get them removed.
I live in NC, but right across the border from VA, that is how and why I know.

The state made the changes to raise revenue to repair the roads...if you ask me, they need to audit the contractors that they hire as it seems to me that they spend a bunch of time "working" on the roads, and yet never seem to get them finished (1 guy digs, 4 watch). Most of the time, when they do finish a section, it has taken so long that they then have to start "refurbishing" it again. The state is crazy...that and they share acceleration and deceleration exit lanes whereever possible, which causes frequent rear-endings!

...just my two cents.
Later,
KrzyFast

Ah! Memories of my younger days! I can remember frequent chases from the boys in blue back in the early nineties. I'm fortunate, we don't have any choppers in my area, and the worst thing you have to worry about is their radios. I even knew a few of the guys in a nearby township that got a kick out of playing hide-and-seek with me. Since I knew we they weren't going to ticket me, we had some good chases. One time it went bad when I got a new car, and they didn't recognize me. I passed his speed trap going 93mph. I didn't even see him sitting back there. By the time he caught up, I was sitting at a red light a mile or two away - then about 8 other cruisers came sweeping in. Startled the crap out of me! When he came up to the window, he told me "Sorry, I didn't know it was you, and I thought you were running for it. I called for backup and now I have to give you a ticket, since everyone is watching!" LOL. Too funny.

This stuff never happens to me. I've put about 4,000 miles on my SRT-6 and no one stares at it, no one tries to race it- the only looks I get are when I get pulled over...I need to find some kind of kiss my *** bumper sticker...

I feel your pain with my SRT-4, the only thing I get is pipes from mustangs driving in the other direction. Curious to see what happens when I pick up the SRT-6 in a few weeks.

Yeah, about the Mercedes thing... Our cars are labeled Chrysler, but are essentially Mercedes Benz SLK32's with a few changes. Don't jump on me for being so simplistic about it, but a lot of people consider themselves as driving a Mercedes AMG when they drive an SRT-6; and this isn't far from the truth. These cars were built in Germany out of mostly Mercedes parts. Just pop the hood and look at the engine components. It's just that badging on the outside that makes people think that they have something that they do not.

It seems like everytime there is something worthwhile to run, there is MAD traffic around!! I have run into a couple SRT8's, GT3, Vettes, etc...The guy in the GT3 wanted to mingle, but i never race in and out of traffic. It's just not worth the chance...

Get this.....

I'm always looking for fast cars and there are tons around in Atlanta, but the cars that I thought were the most prevalent seem to never be around. Specifically, Mustang GT's. It seems like before I had my SRT, I passed a GT Mustang every 100 yards, but now they're never around. This is a perfect car to make an example of because they're decently fast and their owners think they're amazingly fast. But.....I haven't even had a chance to shame one yet.

911's are another story. I see them every other day and they almost always are willing to toy. I don't challenge yet, but wait until those pullies are on. I can see their faces now.

Of all the cool cars I've seen on the roads, the only one who actually messed around and had a decent race with was a Cadillac CTS-V. Those cars are darn fast with 400+ hp V8's. I still outran it, OBVIOUSLY, or I wouldn't tell anyone about it. But, the car was impressive. We started at 55 or so on the freeway, by 100 I had a length on him and by 140 he was 100 feet back.

After we slowed he pulled up and put down the window to give a thumbs up and tell me he liked the Crossfire. Cool guy.
