Time will tell. Good luck with yours!
The Service Manager ask me if I purchased it from Budget. I said No, I got it from a local car Dealer. He said it had been a rental. I found it odd but he said that it Chrysler had done that sort of thing. The car is in very good shape but the rubber seemed to be new and the brakes also. I know this because I have since replaced the pads with Rotex pads and put on my winter tires. I am not nervous about the longevity of the car as it drives and feels tight all around. I figure if it was "beaten" as a rental it could not have been long and as eailer stated, these cars are built well.

Why not? They rent lambos, porsches, and all kinds of things in Vegas...

For the record, I saw an SRT6 on autotrader a while back for sale FROM budget.

I wouldn't sweat it. Despite the fact that they are likely driven fairly hard when rentals...they are also serviced very well and religiously, like police vehicles.

Dude, you still haven't told us whether or not you actually saw any documentation about the vehicle. Why don't you just spend the 20 or so bucks and get a darn carfax report. It will list the previous owner. Better yet, get a copy of the title from the bank.

Not SRT6 related but just got the Carfax on the Limited I purchased and it makes no mention of whom the previous owner was although the purchase came with the Carfax "guarantee" whatever that is.

You're correct, I haven't seen anything in writing. The Service Manager "told" me it was owned by Budget when I ask for warranty work to be done. Why should I spend a dime when it will not make a difference. I am not going to sell it or treat it any differently. The word of the Service Manager is enough for me at this pont.

I just thought it was an interesting find as I never saw an SRT for rent in my travels.

I just got back from a business trip to Atlanta, where I rented a Crossfire from Budget. They had three red six speed limited's. It was the first time I drove a 6 spd Crossfire. I had a good time and only fish tailed it once.
