As many of you probably already know Oklahoma has experienced a major ice storm. I just wanted to report what a terrifice ice driver this SRT-6 is. I put two 40 lb tubs of kitty litter in the trunk and pushed the "W" button on my transmission console before I left. I had absolutely no problems getting to and from work. My former vehicle, a 500-hp modified '03 Cobra would have never made it.

The original Continentals. I only have 11,000 miles on it. The power was off all day and came back on around 5:00 p.m.

 

I'm happy for you, but it makes me sad. Here is Pennsylvania we're already had a few inches of snow. It warmed up over the weekend, and melted everything, so I took my baby out for a spin before putting the fuel treatment in her, and putting her up for the winter. Dec 15 thru Mar 15 she's not allowed out.

 

Wow. What tires do you have on yours? I have the Pilots, and didn't push my luck. Chi-Town SRT/6 did not have as good of luck with his Pilots. I'm glad you and your Crossfire made it home safely.

Mine was at the dealership Saturday during the day, and I picked it up around noon, just as freezing rain started. At last count, Tulsa now has 240,000 homes without electricity. The hospitals are running on generators, and the airport just got power. I spent this morning at the Tulsa Air National Guard base (which also does not have power), prepping my squadron's vehicles for emergency disaster relief deployment. The town is nearly silent. When I walk outside in my pitch black neighborhood, I hear what sounds like far off gunfire, 360 degrees around me, as snapping tree branches break the silence. It's eery.

Somehow, Oklahoma State University's Tulsa campus did not lose power. So today I'm in my office, staying warm and enjoying the forum. It looks like the Crossfire won't be leaving the garage for a few weeks.

I'm in Kansas City right now and going to head out to Nashville in the morning.
We are having the same weather here as in Oklahoma.

These few days of ice and snow has been a terrific XF learning experience.
Bottom line with all Good Year F1 All Season (AS) tires;
Snow and slush is not for the XF. Drive SLOW and smart and you should do ok.
Water and rain is just fine.

One interesting item - when I switched to the "W" mode on the transmission I could immediately tell the difference. I have had this feature on two previous vehicles and always wondered if it was even working, as I could not tell it was on.
