Here are some pics members have been asking me to post. Well I just finished with them, so you can look for yourself on what you think about my design on the intake and the path i have chosen for my personal car.
The opening is not as restrictive as i have previously thought, but still not my ideal thing either. IMO.

btw, it is the break down of the inlet between the radiator core support and the front grille. The 7th pic is the opening of the throttle body. Showing that it is a bit over 3"!!! Then the breakdown and pics of my air intake I have built.

BDJ, are you thinking about putting intake in front of radiator. By the pics, it looks that way. I love your look and design. I am going to purchase your design, but was going to extend into grill. What do you think?? Sent you PM. Can we talk?

I believe if you ran a dual inlet in front of the radiator, it would be the best of both worlds. I have thougtht about it. I just havent had time to play around with my car. I normally only get about 1 day every week or two. So I use my time wisely. We have been slammed the last 3 weeks, that is why I dont get to post as much as I would like, I try to help everybody out as much as possible.

Well I went ahead and DEI header wrapped my Intake. After a 30 minute stop and go trip of about 10 miles. I get to the dealership to pick up an oil filter. My great freind John was working, so we were going to change the oil for free, so why not!!. He had a Mac Lazer Temp gauge, the hottest part of the CAI was 121degrees, right at airfilters. So i checked on the other side, same thing. Checked the couplers, they were 112 degrees, I am thinking, that is sweet. Then BAM!!!! Right at the throttle body, the cai was at 98dgrees!!! That is the only part that i could not wrap, because of the split design, so the measurement was accurate. It was around 58 degrees outside on the trip over. The performance also was better, it seemed to burn rubber grabbing 2nd gear alot more on the way up to the dealer. Third gear pulled HARD!

Now back to the oil change. I switched to Eneos 0w20 full synthetic!! OMG, motor is super quiet, seems to have much more bottom end and throttle response!! I love it. I will be taking my car to the track next season, I cant wait to see how fast it really is!! I am a dealer for this oil as well. Check it out.

Next I am going to work on the spark plugs and maybe the wires. Then for the final a little juicy juice!! I am going for a special "title" on the forums. We will have to see what it takes.

 

Can I purchase just the Bi-Pipe for testing on the C32?

To bad for me that I already purchased my SL55 intake system cuz I do like yours.

I assume the flexible tubing your using is 3" (picture showing tubing next to radiator opening) where can i get a piece about a foot long. I'm installing a sl 55 amg conversion to my srt6 and i'm restricted on the left side tubing opening next to the radiator,i think i could form this thru the existing opening. thanks for the info and pictures I'll c ya: cool:

PA, BDJ's Racing can sell you a 1 foot section or you can go to ebay, theres a few companies there that sell the good stuff(3ply braided turbo couplers) in 1ft sections for a pretty good price. That stuff will outlast your car so long as your careful to make sure there are no sharp edges present to scrape it.

On a side note, i hit 158mph the other day(in a safe, legal, undisclosed location). I am very impressed with how hard this car pulls up top, really doesnt seem to peter out till about 145-150...then those last few mph take a few seconds. Cant wait to see what a CAI will do.

We are building the coupler from the throttle body to run a twin intake set up on the srt6. it is made from aluminum and fully TIG welded.
