We had to order the throttle body plenum, which didn't work. The C32 is lacking room and the needed adapter plate will not fit.

The good news is that it should work for you SRT guys. You seem to have more room behind the TB.

It takes about 4 hours to install and about $75 in gaskets / materials, etc.

$1580 cams
$440 labor (4 hours @ $110)
$75 misc parts

$2095 +or- $100 - $200

You can always sell your AMG cams too. I sold mine to a forum member in need and got a few hundred $ for them. The regular V6 guys could use them if they are going to go FI.

I didn't install mine. I paid my Mercedes dealership $139 hr to install them, which is their normal labor rates.

Not sure where you are located but $110 hr here is Chicago is good. I think in Houston they are about $90 per hour.

Where are you located?

You know, I hate to say it, but the other two intake systems for the SRT and the SL55 intake appear to be good products.

The main problem is that the C32 is limited on space and we don't have another vehicle to test fit with.

I bought a set of SL55 boxes and they won't fit on my car...I have tried 3 times now and they are a no go. However, they fit fine on Ericks C32.

Do you not like the other intake systems for the SRT? We have the ability to make CF replica covers for our stock airboxes.

What do u mean cf replica covers.?Like covered by SRTSIX or actual carbon fiber covers. I am debating if I want to try and keep the stock look, or make something similar to the needswings, or have something run to where the battery is currently positioned where the air is most dense and run a odyssey battery.

There is a comment on this thread about labour (labor in the US) costs at the shop
In Alberta's north ie: the Oil Sands, the shop labour at the Ft McMurray Ford dealer is $194.00 hr and do not forget Canadian money is now "real money"

I meant we can add CF to the top of the OEM boxes.

funny thing is the actual mechanis is probably only getting paid $30/hour, while the rest of that hourly goes to the dealership, ouch, that's gotta **** off a few mechs.

I am a little slow sometimes, sorry, but how did we get from a TB (Throttle Body) install to a $2200 Cam install.

I understand that in order to realize the true potential of a larger TB, a cam swap would be in order, but that is not what was being asked.

The way I read the posts were a member inquired as to the cost of the 80mm TB and install (labor, gaskets, etc)....what did I miss??

Sorry, but I am going to go start drinking now, so that I will have an excuse in case I did miss something really simple! haha!

Cheers,
KrzyFast
