Default Front End Cover - Bra

Has anyone put a front end cover-bra on their Crossfire? I have a SRT-6 Roadster that lives in the garage and never goes out in bad weather. I want to put one on for those summer days and nights to take a ride but HATE smashed bugs on the front end. Does anyone know what would be the best one to buy? There is a Chrysler bra just for the SRT-6 for $118. Any suggestions. Thanks.

I have the Chrysler bra/front end cover and it works very well. It sure helps to keep the bugs and stone chips off the front end. It is especially good if you don't drive in the rain, because you should take the cover off if it gets wet. They instructions tell you what to do if the paint under the cover gets cloudy from being wet.

I have the MOPAR bra as well...road trips only...and it fits perfectly. Stone chips are inevitable, but the bra surely helps.

I have the Mopar one for mine as well. It fits well, but I've never driven with it on. It was a dealer freebie.

I have the Mopar bra as well and put it to good use back in October when I went to Buttonwillow Raceway Park for a weekend of track time. Worked great!

Yes - $118 is good. Where did you see it for sale? I need another.

I've had the Chrysler OEM bra since I owned the car and in 3 summers, 26k miles it has kept the front end clean. It's easy to wipe the bugs off (keep the bra well "oiled" with ArmorAll) and there is no stone damage. I have a few very small dings near the back of the hood from pebbles that were thrown higher, so I know it makes a big difference.

I also take the bra off for the winter and make sure I put several coats of good wax on the front before I put it back on in the summer. About once a month in the summer I take it off and make sure the inner side is clean and free of abrasive dirt.

My wife bought me one of these as a B-day present a year ago. It has held
up well, and so long as I keep it clean, and remove it for rainy days I expect it to last for some time.

Only problem I have with it, and I'll never tell my wife, is that there are two
available. One with a hole for the front license plate, and one without that
hole. I live in Georgia, where front license plates are optional, but she
bought me the one with the hole.

As I drive this car about 75 miles a day, it is quite subject to stone chips.
And, after having some a**hole dump truck drive pull in front of me, all
the while spilling a steady stream of sand and small stones, I felt the need
for some added protection. But, honestly, I think it adds something to the over-all affect of the car's aesthetics.

It takes less than 5 minutes to put it on, less than a minute to take it off. Very easy.

You can order one from the Chrysler web site, or go directly to the Mopar website.

I ordered from these folks:

http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/chcrfrendco.html

Make sure you select the appropriate cover for your SRT-6.

Shipping was $13.83 for a total of $132.28 . They also have several other
goodies for the Crossfire and if you buy $200 worth of Mopar parts /accessories you can get a
$25 rebate from Chrysler.

Question?? My bra covers the lower facia, inlets on the SRT6.
I know these are there to keep down force on front end.
With these covered, would it affect down force enough to
be concerned.
Just curious.

Yes, just ordered mine through http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/chcrfrendco.html also. The shipped price was $127. I live closer to the dealer so my shipping cost was cheaper. Thanks.

It ain't supposed to cover those with solid material. It is supposed to have
a mesh in front of those inlets. Methinks you may have bought the wrong
bra, bro.

Well that makes sense. Anyone want to buy a standard XF bra, cheap.

Send me a PM with a price suggestion. I have a Limited coupe so it probably doesn't have the flow through spoiler.
