my friend just got a 2008 bmw 335 coupe manual,so we raced lol. and we raced 3 times, and all 3 times up to 70mph we were dead even then i started pulling away from him and in the end i was winning by about half a car
short story for you guys
and oh yeah, can someone explain to me any problems removing a resonator might give you other than loud sound?? such as will it effect smog emmisions? or anything of that matter?

I just looked at the power and weight of the 335. 300hp with 300tq in a 3571(heavy) pound car. How can they pull sub 5's in the 0-60??! Gearing?? Even if it was gearing, I wouldn't think they could trap 105mph. That is a pretty high mph considering a stock 5.7l(manual) goat(350hp) traps around that.
We have(what we think is the same motor that is in the SLK32) 349hp with 310tq and nearly 200 pounds lighter.
I don't really get it.
Can someone explain??

This should explain:
http://www.autoblog.com/2006/08/22/b...-dyno-numbers/
http://www.autoblog.com/2006/09/22/b...ers-round-two/
"Three runs yielded an average of 285 RWHP, with the other two varying from that by a maximum of three HP"
Judging by those dyno numbers, the car is equally as strong as an SRT-6.
Depending on the turbo setup, the car may also get a better 0-60 due to traction. We spin right off the line...it may be easier to get off the line with the Bimmer and turbo lag. Is it a manual also?
I like the cars, they are slick looking for a BMW...the new M3 is nice too.

thats why i need MODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I read that the 135 will only be 154 lbs less wegiht. I was suprised at that. I could lose 50 lbs and take out the flat tire kit out of the trunk and the passenger seat and lose that much weight
yeah the 335has good traction so for the beggining ofthe race it was dead even but at highspeed the crossfire is a monster with the supercharger really kicking in, especially when the weather is cold out
Yes, having driven several 335 bimmers, they are very quick. I will be the first to agree when someone says they are underrated. As mentioned earlier, the 135 is going to be an insane amount of fun.

Im guessing we will see more modded 135i's than 335i's in the long run.
Nevertheless, the srt6 will be right there to own them
Is the 135 the one with the hatch-back looking appearance? More bubbly and smaller? If so, I wasn't too fond of the looks...but can definitely see it as more of a tuner car.
