Well I have a problem. I am from central Pa. and visiting Florida and the Cat. Converter is defective on my car. the replacement part No. is 5135432-AA but when the part came its not a converter for any
Crossfire it seems. The parts dept. said there are NO converters in the U.S.A. at all . Chrysler is looking into the wrong labeling of the converter. Has anyone else had a problem like this. Would like some advise in solving this problem or will have to have the car shipped back to Pa. dealer I guess.

Sounds like someone at the dealer is confused and/or doesn't know what they're talking about. I had BOTH banks, 4 cats total as front and rear cats are on one section of pipe, replaced on my SRT couple just over a month ago and the dealer had no issues getting them or installing them. They even told me at the time that they were in-stock in their warehouse.
The part numbers off of my invoice from the warranty replacement from the dealer are:
5135432-AA Converter 14070004
5135433-AA Converter 14070004
Hopefully you're getting them replaced under warranty as I was told the price was $2,250.00 each!
Not sure if I helped at all as it looks like you already had the part number correct, but hopefully you can work it out. Guess you can always try another dealer.

Each side has two SS Cats, from manifold flange to crossover flange.
You can't buy just one. Unless you go to Midas and have them weld in a mild steel cat. (ouch!)

The part number for the replacement exhaust is correct . The exhaust an AMG part does not match the exhaust on my car or does not match the the drawing in the parts book. I need the left side. The part that came has two cat. converters. One at the top and one half way down the pipe and then an extension of pipe. The one for the car shows one top cat. and two at the end. The right side hooks into one of the converters at the lower end. I cannot believe a mfg. would design a system with two converters hooked togather and if one went bad you would replace two. Chrysler Service is involved and said the parts are numbered incorrect. My question as the dealers is, what does this new exhaust part fit. Chrysler said its not an up grade for the car. The car is running hotter than usual and seems to slow down faster when you take your foot off the gas. The dealer suggested just drive the car 1300 mi. home and repair it there. I was supprised to find out the exhausts are the same for all Crosfires. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi all In the Uk i was quoted £840.00 for the middle pipe/ 4 Cats , As they only give us 3 year cover & my Xfire is 3 1/2 , I picked up one from a breakers for £150.00 & only had done 4000 miles looked like new when i picked it up , And they call us Rip Off Britain , What is it with these Xfires & Cats

I doint know which converter is bad and the exhaust has not been removed. So how did the dealer decide on the one to be replaced. Its
been 3 days since starting to find me a replacement and no one is talking to me.

And all xfire exhaust arent the same...the srt6 is different than the n/a. Is that what you were asking?

I also had a noticable noise in my exhaust from broken pieces of the cat sliding around under hard acceleration and braking. It sounded like a drill bit was sliding around in my exhaust during those times.
The CEL came on right around 1300 miles, but the sound was noticable when I picked the car up with just over 100 miles on it. Needless to say if they fail again, it's out of warranty, and I still have the car, I will NOT be buying them from Chrysler for $4,500.00. I do not know what the cause of the failure was.
I also agree that the cats probably aren't the same for N/A and SRT. Why don't you call your dealer in PA and have them look it up for you if you trust them more and have them call down to FL to set them straight?

Hi All the pipe are only in two pieces you have one pipe going from the downpipe right thro' to the back box with i think 3 Cats & the other side comes from the down pipe to the middle of the car before the two middle Cats , look in the gallery there are some pics of the complete system , all the Cats are welded on to the pipes ,So if you are changing the Cats its a chop & weld job with jigging (non SRT exhaust) . I have my old pipes in the garage ,could take some pics if you can not find the ones in the gallery .
