Default Help with a problem?

Okay went to the Menards store this morning for stuff and on the left idiot light cluster at the top a light is lit that looks like a tire with a exclamation sign in it !

Now before ya'll go and say TPMS...I do not have that nor did the car come with it.

So what does this light being lit mean?

Thanks ahead for any and all ideas/help.

K.

Every Xfire I have seen has the TPMS as stock item. That IS what that symbol is for, low tire pressure. Has anyone seen a Xfire without TPMS?

Question Re: Help with a problem?

No. I thought it was a safety/selling point for all xFires.

It is the TPMS light. All Crossfires except for base models came with this feature (the 07/08 base models may have them now, not sure).

My 07 Base Coupe did not come with TPMS.

It doesn't even have a TPMS indicator. The place on the dash where it would be is blank.

It is absolutely the TPMS light. ALL SRT-6 Crossfires came with this system. If the sensors were not in the wheels, that light would be on all the time. Look at your wheels. Do they aluminum/metal valve stems? If so, you have TPMS. Non TPMS Cars have the traditional rubber valve stems. I'm not sue why you think you don't have it, becuase you do. This light illuminates when any one of your tires loses 10% of it's air pressure which on an SRT-6 is about 3.5PSI. Check all you tires with a good quality tire gauge and correct the pressure in them to the PSI listed on the door Jam label. I believe it is 36PSI for the SRT. Once you have done this, the TPMS light will go out in no more than 5 minutes. If it does not go out, there is a fault in the system somewhere.

Well you are all right and I am wrong.
I pulled out paper work from when I bought new tires and there on the paperwork is 4 rebuild kits for TPMS at N/C.
Guess its a good thing I didn't pay for them.
Guess its a good thing I read paperwork or look at the car!
And that tells ya how often I wash my own car....

Oh and when the wife came home from work last night I told her about it.
I am looking at the paperwork she comes back in the house and tells me all fixed!
I go out to the garage and she has the compressor dragged out and the lines all laying on the floor....she says I fixed it you put the stuff back
Her Explorer has them...So she has dealt with this stuff before when I am not home in the fall.

Anyway thanks for the help from everyone here and my wife Sara.....Oh and she took my car to work today since its nice out.
