Is this a good price on a 2005 SRT6?
I think it is a fair price but all SRT6 are fairly priced compared to original MSRP. If you’re not concerned with mileage go for the higher mileage SRT6 and save some money. Which ever one you pick make sure you check its history, good luck.

Both look pretty good deals. How much wear and tear is on the 16,000 mile one? Any dents scratches, etc? Records on oil changes? Pick the one in better condition.
They are both black, the one that has under 1k is being sold by a car collector so it looks like it is brand new. I may go for that one so I do not have to travel 500 miles each way to pick it up.

I paid $21k for a 2005 with 8200 miles in January. It's going to end up needing $1300 of body work and $600 for rotors/brakes. Since the asking price was $23k, I ended up where I thought I needed to be and close to your price for an immaculate one.
Check the in-service date so you know how much warranty remains.

I paid just under $24k for mine with 120 miles and over 2 years left on bumper to bumper warranty, so the one with 768 miles sounds like a fair deal to me unless the warranty is up already.
Both are good deals... I don't there there is such a thing as a bad deal for this car...
If you are going to purchase the one under 1k miles make sure it was not used for track expereince...
O yea and make sure you purchase the color you want as that is just about the only option on this vehicle...

Did Chrysler use these for track cars or something? Pro-racing or for customers to test them out?

These cars were used for a Chrysler Owned Driving Education program similar to that of BMW's M Driving Program.. the problem with that is well.. for the low mileage the vehicle has it was abused to hell.. with driver after driver going to flooring the gas pedal to flooring the brake pedal...

Don't buy any of these cars without a Carfax. The Carfax will not necessarily show you how it was used, but it will show you if it was originally in Chryslers fleet of vehicles. Also, what each car has left in warranty (if any) can be a very deciding factor. If the higher mileage one is from a 5 star Chrysler dealer and it has a clean Carfax, it could qualify for the 8/80,000 powertrain warranty.
I just bought, last Monday, a black SRT-6 coupe with 3,981 miles on it, certified with 8/80,000 powertrain warranty plus over 12 months of bumper to bumper for $19,000. Car has the optional tires and Nav.
If you need a Carfax, I still have about 3 weeks left on my 1 month account. If you PM me with the serial numbers, I will run them for you.

Just because one of these cars was a Chrysler Fleet vehicle, doesn't mean it was a SRT Experience vehicle. Mine was a fleet vehcle, a corporate lease vechicle. Quite a few SRTs were used as corporate lease cars that were driven by employees. Just thoroughly check the tires, brakes, and look for signs of shadowing on the windshields where decals saying either "SRT" or "SRT Track Experience" used to be.
