Default Black painted grill on SSB SRT-6, Yes or No, (Pics)

I decided I hated the look of the stock grill. It's too happy go lucky looking to me and it makes it look like the car is smiling. I don't like the aftermarket grills on the market so I decided to paint mine black.

Let me know what you think. I was considering painting the grill the same color of the car also.

Can anybody do a decent photoshop job on one of my pictures to make it the same color as the body of the car?

Here are the pics I took today.

Hmmm. The concept Crossfire had a flat black grill.
If I could find an extra OEM grill for a decent price, I'd paint it flat black, but my car is black.
I think the SSB may look best. Maybe someone can photoshop one and then we can see.
Good luck.

For your color of car I think it looks good. It matches the black lower grills on the car also. THUMBS UP! from me.

It looks better than I expected it to.

A set of black aftermarket wheels would really set it off IMO!

BTW......as long as you're happy with it, then to hell with what everyone else thinks!

I actually painted the lower grills too because they didn't match

Looks better than the stock gray. Originally I did this on my blk Xfire. I also added thin chrome horizontal strips to replace the silver.

No. It's not my cup of tea. I think the silver accents contribute to the car's personality, I would have voted "keep it stock" if given the choice.

Not a big fan of the black.

Get the chrome overlay... perfect accent while maintain the factory look

It looks better than I expected from reading the subject title, but I think it would look even better if you had left the silver strips at the front of each horizontal fin, and just painted the darker grey plastic black.

I think I like it on the SSB. I think it adds a little understatement. If I wasnt keeping the SSB stock this would be a possiblility. Chrome is a little flashy on the SSB, although I think it would look good on my Aero. Especially since I am putting the chrome mesh lowers in from SRT Six.

I'm not a big chrome fan, especially since there is very little chrome on the car in the first place. My G/F came up with the idea of painting the Chrysler emblem on the from black chrome to match a little better and then it wouldn't stand out as much.

Does anybody have the ability to photoshop one of the pictures to make it look like the grill is SSB? I'll be your best friend if you do it for me....

That's actually not a bad idea. I jsut purchased some rear diffusers and was thinking about painting them a flat black....might be good to do the grille the same

I think chrome on the edge or matching silver gray would look better. And add this or my new ones and eyebrows coming too this week.
