Hey,
This is the best Crossfire forums that I've come across yet. I just recently purchased a 05 SRT-6 Convertible, black on black. This car is bone stock and only has 20,000 miles on it. I would love to find some mods to up the horsepower. My husband and I have already had alot of fun and a few street races in the car. My other daily driver is a 2003 Eclipse GTS that we bought brand new and immediately put a Vortech Supercharger (10 psi kit)/ Headers/ Ross Racing Forged Pistons/ Stage 3 Racing Clutch, etc..... so needless to say we are not afraid of "Do it yourself" projects.

 

Welcome to the forum. There are several mods for the SRT6 here.
Do a little "search" and you will find many topics on this.

Welcome to the forum. Look around the site as there are quite a few pulleys available right now. An ECU tune will get you more power also.

 

Thanks guys, I've had a good time on the forum so far. I've found out alot of information on these cars, and I want to thank everyone who has posted mods and the horsepower gains that they made, it will be a huge help on tuning my car. I hope to be able to contribute some info to this forum one of these days. I also would like to add that anyone from Kentucky who might come across this thread give me a shout, I would like to meet some local owners.

I know what you mean, thats the exact reason I don't own a vette because they are everywhere. I'm almost sure we have one of if not the only SRT6 Convertible in town. It's nice knowing you are not going to pull up next to yourself at a stop light. lol.

Agreed - I think I have the only SRT in Asheville, and I've only seen four base/limited - black, white, charcoal, and an unfortunate coffe & cream paint job that I cannot believe anyone would do deliberately.

 

I know what you mean I have the only crossfire around me also. Every once in a while I see one come to the Jack Daniel Dist. where I live I have only seen two in a year.

congrats and welcome...im in columbus,ga and there are a few xfires around. (all models) not sure if it is just being in the deep south or like joining a club, but we greet each other with a hand wave everytime we pass. so be ready to throw your hand up just in case...

 

Have fun. The SRT's just seem to grow on you. My wife drove mine the other day and called me on the cell just to rub it in saying how much fun she was having driving MY SRT. I had to drive the mini van. It is brand new and has less than 350 miles but it is not a crossfire.

I can't let her drive it too much. She might want to keep it. LOL

PS You have one of about 400 SRT roadster's that are black. I have two, RPM HAS ONE AND COUPLE others that are on the forum have them. Not bad for a world wide car. I would think that in years to come it should be a nice collector car. JMHO

 

Congrats on your crossfire you may want to add a SC pulley check
my thread "New SC pulley for $600". 40 hp gain in 20 minutes !

 

It was pretty neat driving down Cave Mill Road after work this afternoon and seeing a black SRT roadster in the rear view mirror.
