Upgraded the tiny filter on my CAI, the new one is a lot bigger and has an open end on it as well:

I also bought 2 new wheels and mounted 2 winter tires on the car, I will post pics later. They are the same as the drag wheels but these are 17" and the offset is different. They are tucked way in the fenderwell and the tires are 1" shorter so it looks sweet lol (not really). The snow tires are from the old hhr and are not as tall but they work good enough for the little bit of driving i will be doing this winter. The spedometer will be 3mph off which is no big deal. I will post pics when the car is not so dirty lol.

Here are some snow tires/wheels for the hhr, bought them in pittsburgh a few weeks back. The finish on the wheels was peeling like crazy so i took a wire brush to them and some sandpaper and threw on some metalcast smoke paint and a bunch of clear coat. Good enough for $250.

photoman, you need to shrink your pics a little. This thread takes forever to load........

Good job on re-painting the wheels....

yeah it is the x-treme filter, I haven't driven it yet though i will let you know.

miker, this is clearly titled a PHOTO thread (so you know what to expect when clicking on the thread) and most people in the 21st century have DSL or faster so I doubt the photo size (which fits the screen nicely unless you are on an old trs80 12" screen) or number of photos will bother most people.

Ahhhh..... the days of the sound of the 56k modem connecting. Actually, I am trying to remember if it was the 2400 or 4800 baud modem that was my first one. I do remember when we reached 56k, that I thought we had reached the holy grail in speed. haha!

For those of you that have forgotten the sound (as if thats possible), or for the younger members that may have never been subjected to it, here it is for your listening pleasure. lol

Dial Up Modem Wav Sound Effect

P.S. The images load fast and fit perfectly well on my 1280 X 800 resolution 13.3 inch MacBook Pro.

lol i remember that sound well. i remember when i bought one of the first Pentium processors, it was a blistering 75mhz and when i built the computer i installed a 56k modem and i was so excited to test out the super fast connection speed i could barely contain myself lol.

I had a commodore 64 when i was growing up, remember those? it had a bad@ss cassette tape backup drive with it lmao!

Yep, and I remember when the OS was on a 5 1/4" floppy drive. Once the OS loaded, you took the floppy out, and put in your application floppy. haha! Even funnier, I can remember when RAM was purchased by the MB. It is unbelievable what we paid for RAM. Here is a chart that I found.

1985 - 512KB (from $210 to $440)
1989 - 4MB (from $753 to $1023)
1993 - 4MB ($110)
1998 - 16MB ($58)
2001 - 128MB ($39)
2003 - 512MB ($39 to $89)

I can remember when RAM got to $100 per MB, and thought that was such a great deal.

I just bought a pair of 285/30/19 pilot sport a/s tires.

I can not wait to hit up the roadcourse this spring, I am going to concentrate on that for 2010.

I have 2 special mods going on the car this winter that should be pretty sweet

Winter setup taken with my cellphone this evening:

my new 17" rear wheels with snow tires, they are about 1.2' shorter and a horrible offset but hey they were only $55 each shipped brand new lol. I made the srt6 center cap stickers on my computer, printed them on photo paper, clear coated and attached with liquid gasket.
